Remember the old saw; “You get what you pay for” Free treatment is not always a good deal.
I would recommend that if they have a wait list, go to someone that can see you in a timely manor.
Please don’t talk about combining them

I do NOT joke when I say that the VA medical system will look like the Mayo Clinic compared with obamadontcare if only for the presence of doctors, the VA enjoys. There will be nary a few working for BO

I recommend sucking up to the nurses and they will be your friend.
The budget and staffing of the VA has more than doubled in recent years, while the quality of care has declined.
In gov’t service there is no consideration of actual performance, which is why this “bonus system” is so widely corrupted.

A five month wait for anything is far to long. You would get better treatment at a Veterinarian's office.

Also where we are I have not heard anything bad yet. But never say never. If it's ever that bad I will take him to the regular hospital, they can shoot it out with the VA.
He is very lucky to have you at his side. Just a thought, you may try and take him to a regular hospital and see if he likes good treatment in a timely manor. Sometimes it just takes one time to break a habit or to discover a better way of doing things.
Tell him that this old Vet would only go to the VA kicking and screaming with claw marks all the way to the front door.
It’s worth a try. I might have to learn to rope and hog tie. :)

I’m a veteran. Why does the va hate me? Abolish the va and give vets basic insurance.
The VA doesn’t hate you. There just seems to be an alarmingly high level of incompetence these days in every sector.
But no waiting list for traitors who want their wewe chopped off and some fat implanted on their chest.
That is exactly what the administration wants. They want to destroy the V.A. and force vets to enroll in Obamacare. Since this is systematically happening, it is no accident. This is intentional, much like that sequestration antics of the administration, and the more recent release of criminal aliens into the general population.
They want to break us.

The Q in the program only allows a Book of 46-60 days, At the end of the year there are more problems. There computer system has too many cooks.
I’m sure you know much more than I do about this. But it looks like the unions are going to stick by the employees, just like they do with bad teachers.
