You forgot to include his telling everyone to shut up and vote for DeeDee Scozfava because she was a Republican.

We have voted to harm our children, without ever admitting that that has been the cumulative effect of our voting.

A crude shorthand way of writing this opinion is the intent of the following poem by yours truly:

The Anti-Children, Free Stuff, American Family, Political Dynasties:

You list is well intended,
Of that I’m very sure.
What is lacking is the reason
That these family jobs endure.

We-who vote them in,
Have we our reasons?
We-who re-elect them,
Must have reasons too?

What the reasons are
It is obvious to know:
We all like to LIVE LARGE,
Take our free stuff and go!
“Charge everything to our kids:
charge, Charge, CHARGE!”

“Politicians will be politicians,
Just as boys will be boys.”
Is what we laugh and say,
By those who hate their kids
And vote to make them pay, Pay, PAY!

“No!” You say, “NO!
You’re not talking about ME!
I LOVE my kids!” is your reply - - -
But who will be stuck
To pay your greedy free stuff bills,
When you die, Die, DIE?

__________

In 2014 it is time, - - - time for a change.

Huh?

Who was the best choice from a bad group?

Santorum, at that point. Between he, Romney, Gingrich and Paul. At least in my estimation.

I started out a Bachmann fan (she represents MN6 and I live in MN8). From there I went to Cain and finally Santorum because he was at least a good social conservative. Romney appalled me in 2008 and did nothing to change that in 2012, I couldn’t support Gingrich and Paul was ... well ... Ron Paul.

That’s what I mean.

It doesn’t get anymore GOPe than Santorum, the lifelong fan of Arlen Specter, and the idiot who suffered a massive defeat, bigger than Christine O’Donnell’s, and he was the INCUMBENT.

I never said I liked it. Just that between Romney, a clearly changed Gingrich and Ron Paul, he was the best choice of a bad group of four. But it would take some doing to convince me that Romney was actually to Santorum’s right.

I’m certainly hoping the Republican Party nominates a much better candidate in 2016.

I put Santorum and Huckabee in the same category: bamboozling ignorant voters, splitting the conservative vote, and allowing the McCain, Romney, and Dole types to get the brass ring.

Never said you like what?

You must be drunk, I have posted to you twice telling you how wrong you are to imply that Santorum was not the GOPe guy next to Romney, in fact, his original role was as Romney’s stalking horse.

Santorum is the GOPe.

I am afraid that the reason we are in the mess we are in now is because we did not do enough to ensure a President Santorum. He was the best we have. I guess when you guys are discussing the distraction of the United States, you make sure that the conservatives are 100 percent the reason for the destruction. We bashed the best conservative nominee in history. A President Santorum would have been incredible especially with his primary issue being pro-life. What a sad decision that conservatives made by not supporting him. And who cares that he endorsed Specter. That was a decade ago. At the time it was reasonable. Toomey turned out so liberal which you guys LOVE!

There is a world of difference in claiming 'pro-life' and actually governing to protect life. For crying out loud, ObamaCare is KennedyCare or as I am now going to call it CatholicCare. There is very little 'pro-life' in that monstrosity. It actually fits the 'redistribution of benefits' recently demanded by the head guy in Rome. Try to remember to bring your snobbish nose down when you walk in the rain.

Santorum is a government statist and he would 'tax/mandate without representation' with the best of them and call it 'charity'.

Well it appears you are happy with the current occupant in office. Congratulations. I know in your mind he is 100 times better than a potential President Santorum. I can’t believe the morals you have....

Santorum could not even win his own senate race.
His entry into the Presidental race was to help split the GOP vote.
and ensure Romney won.

And BTW, Specter turned out to be a democrat...for real.
