Professor Lennart Bengtsson - the leading scientist who three weeks ago signalled his defection to the climate sceptic camp by joining the board of the Global Warming Policy Foundation - has now dramatically been forced to resign from his position.
His views on the weakness of the "consensus" haven't changed. But as he admits in his resignation letter, he has been so badly bullied by his alarmist former colleagues that he is worried his health and career will suffer.
Bengtsson's recruitment by the GWPF (the London-based think tank set up by former Chancellor Lord Lawson) represented a huge coup for the climate realist cause. The Swedish climatologist, meteorologist, former director of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg and winner, in 2006, of the 51st IMO Prize of the World Meteorological Organization for his pioneering work in numerical weather prediction - was by some margin the most distinguished scientist to change sides.
But this, of course, is why he has been singled out for especial vitriol by the climate alarmist establishment - as he describes in his resignation letter.

the RIGHT question is: if it was proven that man and carbon dioxide are in no way related to global warming, would you stop pushing governments to reduce carbon dioxide emissions?
Because in the answer to that question lies the truth behind the lie.
The leftests are using climate hysteria to push an agenda which they would/will continue to push even if there wasn't a threat to the climate.
In other words, to the left the ends justifies the means.

Why is man-made climate change occuring? because modern science tells us so! Before the Civil War when the first railroads were built, the modern science of that time warned of the dangers of rail travel, stating the human body cannot withstand sustained speeds over 30MPH. I’m sure Richard Petty and Chuck Yeager would have a good laugh over that one. We visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. They have a very interesting exhibit on the history of the old Negro Leagues. One artifact I remember was an excerpt from a medical journal from the 1940’s that argued against integrating the major leagues because Blacks were athletically INFERIOR to Whites. Obviously, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks, Willie McCovey, Elston Howard, etc never received that memo. Talk about scientific findings that are agenda driven. The only difference, this particular scientific “fact” was driven by racism. The global warming BS is driven by politics and plain old greed. Both of these findings were reached by factors not having to do with cold hard objective science.
In Germany the Greens managed to get all the nuke plants shut down after Fukushima. Now Germany has to rely on Coal power which produces less energy but more pollution. The Greens are perfectly satisfied with this situation. I wonder how many Germans now see that the goal was always less energy?
That was intended to be the reaction of the Greenies over their heretics, those that abandoned the cause.

Sometimes, I have an overwhelming desire to just slap the dog $h1+ out of some these incessantly yapping leftists. They never ever shut their stupid, arrogant, annoying, filthy mouths. Somewhere in Proverbs it says something about “fools multiplying words”. That captures them to the Nth degree.
