Now, I could be wrong about this. I am not saying that I am 100% certain that Emily Letts did not film a surgical abortion being done on herself – but there are just too many things that don’t seem to make sense about her video and her follow-up story published on Cosmopolitan.
This is purely my own speculation and opinion, but I really cannot convince myself that the video is real, and I have watched it several times. Here are some of my reasons:
I do not believe that Emily Letts was pregnant to begin with. She shows no proof in the video of a positive pregnancy test or even gives a date that confirms her last menstrual period. She does not even show an ultrasound picture, which she claims that she will forever hold onto. She tells Cosmo that she was “only two to three weeks” pregnant. What does that mean? Two to three weeks from conception or two to three weeks from her last menstrual period? Also, it is very unrealistic that someone who is sexually active and NOT on birth control is not monitoring their period to know if they skip one. She even said that she didn’t want to use birth control pills, so she would keep track of her ovulation to know when not to have sex. Someone who monitors their ovulation would know if they skipped a period and purposefully take a pregnancy test, not on a whim. Yes, I understand that some people have a period while they are pregnant, but it is not likely. Emily said that she happened to take a pregnancy test at the clinic just for the heck of it, and then schedules her abortion then next day after telling her manager.

I’ve been asking myself this same thing. I want her to prove she was pregnant.
I’m jealous this didn’t occur to me!

Because it would have endangered her body, killed a child, and been too horrible for her to act happy about on camera, that’s why.
Yet she’s acting the whole thing out to encourage women to get the very thing she makes sure to avoid herself, specifically because she knows that everything she is portraying is a lie.

One thing I considered...
Would any doctor allow such a procedure to be filmed? AFAIK, they don’t even allow you to film the birth of your own child for legal reasons. I seriosuly doubt a more complicated procedure (abortion) would be recorded.
The fault to my argument is that any “doctor” that would do an abortion is already a low-life POS and probably has no clue that being filmed while killing a child not good for his malpractice insurance. Assuming the POS even carries any.

I’m betting that Emily Letts is Sandra Fluke’s roommate.
With a face like that, it amazes me that anyone would even contemplate impregnating Emily Letts...

We filmed our two kids births (NOT from the doctors point of view of course) but that was 20 years ago, not sure about these days.
I also thought it was a possible hoax. She was just to glib and excited about having an abortion. She probably panics when she has her teeth cleaned.
I said the same thing the other day. Did we ever see a video of anything but head and then a sheet? No. We never saw a doctor or a nurse.
It was staged.
