This week Liberty Institute continued to fight for 5-year-old Gabriella Perez, who said a school employee told her not to pray over her meal. The school purportedly apologized to the family after Liberty Institute became involved but now seems to be making unfounded public attacks on the girl and her family.
As a result, Liberty Institute sent the school another letterthis time demanding corrective actionand it is continuing its defense of the young girl and her family.
According to the Perez family, their 5-year-old daughter bowed her head over her food during lunch. A school employee instructed her to stop, and when the young girl told the school official, But its good to pray, she was told, It is not good.
Godless socialist educrats. If she was reading a book about lesbians, she’d be celebrated.
That “school employee” should be arrested for violating this child’s First Amendment rights. Where the hell is the ACLU? I thought they are worried about people having their rights violated.
“Where the hell is the ACLU?”
The Anti-Christian Lunatic Union are the biggest hypocrites on the planet since the pharisees. The ACLJ is a true civil rights organization.
What have stopped them in their tracks if she pulled out a prayer rug.
Don’t you mean the Arab Criminal Liberties Union
Don’t worry, kid. You might not have a choice right now, but in ten years - they’ll indoctrinate you about ‘pro-choice’ again.
Bttt
Well, we can’t have her “establishing religion” on the unholy ground of public property.
Sometimes I think school officials just have a kneejerk sensitivity about this because they are afraid an atheist parent might make trouble. Other times I think they are just bullying the child, as in the case of the boy who was told that he couldn’t read “that book” (the Bible) during free reading periods.
When in this country are we going to pull our collective heads out of our butts and start calling liberals on pushing their moral stances in violation of their beloved Separation of Church and State? If you can’t condone prayer because it violates the Establishment clause, then telling a kid that prayer is wrong is also a violation.
They both interject morality into the situation. They are either both ok, or they are both not allowed. If you want to justify it by appealing to school policy that’s one thing, but to call it wrong is absolutely pushing your religion onto someone else.
Why do we not call them on the moral aspect of things?
Local TV news yesterday introduced a story about the SCOTUS decision on public prayer with “Should you be praying before a city council meeting?”
Obviously trying to imply that the answer was “No”.
I hate that my grandfather is dead, but I am thank God that He took my grandfather home before he could see what the country he fought for has turned into.
“...and I pray for this teacher who has told me to stop. God bless Mama and Papa, my dog, my friends....”
Name the school when you post these types of articles. Include the phone numbers. That is so we can make a fuss they will remember.

Communists advocate the violent overthrow of governments; it is time we advocate the violent overthrow of Communists.
