The real problem is that at $15 an hour, the entry level young unskilled worker will be displaced by older, better educated and more mature workers who wouldn't work at a job for 7.50$ but will readily for 15$.

It's not that she doesn’t know about economics. Liberals know the ramifications of this type stuff.She may not know. Marxists generally do not believe in economics. With central planning and a command economy, they actually believe they can transcend the laws of human nature, which in the end is all that economics is.
