He remains an economic idiot, semi liberal populist.

Santorum also questions the bipartisan consensus in favor of free trade: What’s the good in cheaper products, he asks, if we don’t have steady jobs in America?

Sounds good, Rick. Except that I don't EVER remember you voting against your party on trade issues when you were my Senator.

What version of Santorum is this? Santorum 3.0? Santorum 4.0? I’ve lost track.

I don't mind our side learning how to play the semantics game. The Left appropriates or delegitimizes the meaning of one, change it to something else.

They've been playing this game for decades.

Sorry Rick.

Why would I want half a loaf of bread, when I get a full loaf of bread from Ted Cruz?

Half doesn’t get the job done Rick.

Either you are Tea-Party, or you ain’t worth the time!

I like his thinking. Without marriage, the family and good jobs, America won’t survive.

This is the basis towards reversing the decline of our country. If we don’t do it, nothing else matters.

Rick Santorum is arguing that if conservatives can’t connect to the folks who make America work, they’re not going win another election.

The points he brings up deserve national debate regardless of whether he is the right candidate for the cause he champions.

But his solutions are wrong…….because he doesn’t understand economics. He’s a pro life liberal in a lot of ways. Lot of pro union and pro enviro stuff in his background, and he’s avoided the Tea Party platform. Dude just ain’t that bright.

He attacks the tea party, establishment and libertarian elements of the Republican Party. That doesn’t leave much left to garner support. Interesting.

Rick Santorum came in second in the primaries, with very little money. He connects with the people - that’s important.

Some correct arguments, being made insincerely.

Like I said, he pretty much toed the GOP party line during twelve years as my Senator.

“I like his thinking. Without marriage, the family and good jobs, America won’t survive. ..”

Yup.

And Mark Levin, Mr. Tea Party himself, likes Rick. Of course he likes Cruz, and Lee, too, and so do I.

He remains an economic idiot, semi liberal populist.

After giving the OP a quicky, Mr. Santorium needs to tap 10th Amendment-protected state powers to advance his pro-family agenda instead of setting his sights on using constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers for that purpose.

Been there, done that: Marshall Petain’s Vichy France WWII subbed `Work, Family and Fatherland’ for `Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité’ with the approval of their Nazi Overlords.

The “Department of Homeland Security” still gives me the creeps, like something out of `A Handmaid’s Tale’ and because it’s another layer of federal boobocracy.

He’s a pro life liberal in a lot of ways.

What Santorum is, is what my WWII-GI father was: conservative in foreign policy and social issues, oldtime-working-class in economic issues. Santorum would have made a very good Truman Democrat. Unfortunately for him, that nation is in the past: the only politics that will save us now is Reagan-Cruz-Lee-Palin conservatism.
