Don’t get me wrong. I believe that the area called “California” is some of the most beautiful land in CONUS.

The liberals there have ruined it. Politics before Beauty is their mantra. There is no RR in the offing.

Taxes trump population. Why?

Greed.

People come out into the streets standing for American nationalism, refusing to bend to leftist run government schools and idiots like you show up mocking them from the sidelines...

You reek.

Students: Illegal To Wear An American Flag Shirt On Cinco De Mayo In California

Students in a California school district will not be allowed to wear American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo, due to concerns that such displays of patriotism would inflame racial tensions by offending Mexican students on their holiday.

The district’s policy concerned many free speech advocates, but was upheld by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Just because an appellate court upholds a school district's policy, that does not make the policy "law", and make it "illegal" to cross that line. It merely allows the school to enforce the policy by sending a kid home or assigning detention, etc.

But then again, headline writers care very very little about truth or logic. They only care about sales.

Sorry to distract from your thread, but some things just need to be said to the morons barking from the sidelines...

Cheers...

Sadly there are so few of you that you will likely have to bend over and take it. California is gone dude. Never to return.

This is so stupid, and just shows the lack of understanding of students, teachers, and courts. What could have been a celebration of tolerance and pride for all people in the Americas has instead become a wedge to divide people.

During the first few years of the US civil war, Britain, Spain, and France sent war ships to Mexico to collect debts. Napoleon wanted to also to takeover Mexico. Mexicans fighting for their country kept the European powers occupied, so that they didn't become involved in our Civil War.

Approximately a year later after the May 5 battle, Napoleon had installed Maximilian as the emperor of Mexico. With the end of our Civil War, the USA began supporting Mexico, and the French later withdrew.

This sort of marked the end of the European attempts to conquer the Americas. As such it should be a celebration of all the people of a joint effort to keep Europe out of Mexico, USA and others.

So every one should celebrate by wearing the flag of their country, and being grateful that we were allies at that period in history. But alas, the "authorities" miss every chance teach true tolerance and appreciation of cultures.

We already received the message from Georgia Girl:

>>Tell all those stupid Americans holding American flags to bend over and take it<<

By the way, it’s amazing you folks on the east coast still use 70s terms like, “dude”. Hey dude, far out...lol

Will it be illegal to speak Spanish on American holidays?

Illegal to wear an American flag when illegals are running around celebrating a holiday they know zilch about, just that it is Mexican and another excuse for getting commode-hugging drunk. Praying to the porcelain God. Calling valet service for your Buick. Developing a case of the dry Hueys.

I would have worn one with George Washington or Thomas Jefferson or the Declaration of Independence on it. Yeah, I was a smart aleck back in the day.

If 500 kids would ignore the ban and show up with flag T-shirts would they all get suspended? What would happen to the fed funds shortage then?

thought this Santa Clara County Sheriff department public “release” about Cinco-de-drinko was interesting. (San Jose)

San Jose, Ca
— Cinco de Mayo is a celebration commemorating the Mexican army’s 1862 victory over France at the battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. Today, many Californians spend the day with friends and family celebrating Mexican culture and heritage by attending parties, barbecues and
festivals. With alcohol being such a big part of
many people’s Cinco de Mayo festivities, it’s no surprise
that drunk driving is especially high on May 5th. To help stem the roadway tragedies, the Santa Clara County Avoid the 13 DUI Task Force is joining with others across the state and nation to remind party goers that drunk driving should never be part of your Cinco de Mayo plans.
