If there is one thing I learned in the 2012 election cycle, it was about voter fraud. My conservative warrior associate, Katherine Engelbrecht, and her organization, True the Vote, took up the mantle against the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, who admitted to sending questionable results to the Florida Secretary of State. It was somewhat disheartening that the Florida Secretary of State and Attorney General sat back, watched the news reports, and did nothing.
With that background, Id like to share a story written by Gregg Prentice: Voter Fraud? If theyre not catching the easy stuff, what else are they missing?
Prentice asks, are some of Floridas Supervisors of Elections skirting the law? Supervisors are tasked with maintaining an accurate voter roll. One of the requirements of the Supervisors is to ensure voters provide a legal residence address. Yet a December 2013 analysis shows more than 3,000 voter registrations statewide listing their residence address at a UPS store, potentially illegally.

I think the southern version here is ‘Vote Early and Vote Often.’
Liberals are past masters at this kind of thing!
I can’t be shocked any more... I just get angrier.

Hell, the same people who vote multiple times elect these @$$holes.
Plenty of people who live in Florida use RVs for their homes. I wouldn’t be surprised if that would account for a good chunk of the 3,000 addresses.
This is a state responsiblity that has at least 50 varying sets of regulations.
Bringing this to a uniform process won’t happen and probably shouldn’t
as it then would most likely become a federal process.
One solution that may help but not solve all the problems is to mail out a
voter card every two years to the current registered address. Those
cards should not be forwarded and returned if not deliverable at
that address. Then the name should be removed from the voter roles
as that means they don’t reside were they were registered.
But the beat goes on.......
Don’t get me wrong, Voter ID is a great flagship issue, but we really need voter reform across the whole chain on a state by state legislative action. This is one of the other areas that need to be dealt with.
I deal with voter lists alot. One thing that needs to be passed is that if there are more than three people with different last names at one address, then have an agent of the county elections official verify they live there. Even if it means a little extra money out of the budget, it’s worth the effort.
Another would be to take all home sales info in the county and compile it to track people that move. That and also have the post office give a list of forwarded mail, so that the ones who move could be. Those, combined with voter ID, would go a long way stopping clamping down on shenanigans.
Surely that is just some kind of misunderstanding that 3000 people would list the same address in their voting records. (/s)

I would drivers licenses to that list. As people change addresses on DL then
a copy of that info should be sent to the Registrar of Voters for follow up
and or removal from the voter roles.
Great idea, especially since it ties in to Voter ID anyway.
What they need to do is tie it to their vehicle registration. Special plates and special ID’s to designate they are a ‘mobile voter’. Since the registration has to be updated yearly, that would cut down on possible fraud.
Some of those UPS stores are HUGE.

This SHOULD be uniform ,, The FedGov should not write state laws but it is perfectly OK for the Senate for instance to have a rule that if a state doesn’t have fraud safeguards 1-8 in place then the results of their election will not be accepted and their nominee will not be seated.
Is UPS an unindicted co-conspirator?
This is why algore was so certain he took Florida.
