New York Congressman Michael Grimm, a former Marine and FBI agent, surrendered to the FBI today to face charges of fraud, perjury and obstruction.

Grimm, a Republican from New York City's borough of Staten Island, had gained notoriety when he was caught on tape after the State of the Union speech earlier this year threatening to throw a reporter off the Capitol's balcony and said he would "break you in half, like a boy."

When we wanted Republicans to be more pro-active, the indictment of Republican Grimm on fraud, perjury and obstruction charges wasn't what we hand in mind.

Hm. Fraud, perjury and obstruction. I thought these were solely Democratic type credentials.

How convenient.
I remember how much Tom Delay and Mark Foley turned the elections. Expect a ‘piling on’.

He’s a Republican Main Street-type Republican. So yeah—a Democrat.

Hey Republicans....even you RINOs, think you’re exempt from the witch hunt cause you are in power and “get along” with Democrats? Nope.

there is one thing to ponder here - a former FBI agent, who does not know when he is breaking the law, what’s wrong with that picture? Was he as arrogant as stories imply or is the FBI not very good any more?

No. He spent about $260,000 to defeat a Democrat spending $2.5 Million during the last election.

This is how Democrats get revenge. Make the poor man bankrupt himself proving he is innocent, and steal the Congressional seat.

I don’t doubt that Grimm is likely guilty. But, notice how the indicment was turned in after filing for the race ended. Do you see an agenda here?

Grimm should do the right thing and drop out.

Typical political prosecution (persecution). Ever notice how the corrupt RAT politicians like Rangel, Sharpton, et al. never get charged.

A former New York City police officer moved up to become a Secret Service Special agent in 1999 and moved up into the Presidential Protection Division in 2006. He later "resigned" in 2011.

Dan Bongino is now an international security consultant and running for a congressional seat in Maryland.

His Book "Inside tht Bubble" is a good read, and Bongino could use help in winning this coming November.

At least it will be one less vote for Bonehead as speaker.
Unless the GOP gives him an exemption to cast his ballot for Bonehead
from prison.

Exactly! And to quote Rush about Foley: (April 8,2014)

“The FBI said they never found any evidence of any untoward behavior toward his former pages, but it was the old “appearance of impropriety.” It was the old “seriousness of the charge” business.”
The Dems rode the trumped up scandals all the way to a majority in 2006.

thanks for update. I hope he gets a prosecutor to be held in contempt - for over the top prosecution.
