Jeb Bush: ‘I’m thinking about running for president’

By Cristina Corbin Published April 23, 2014 FoxNews.com

Jeb Bush said Wednesday he's "thinking about running for president," in his most direct statement yet about a possible 2016 run.

The former Florida governor spoke at a Catholic school benefit in New York Wednesday morning. He previously has said he'll make a decision on whether to run for president before the end of this year, making clear that he was considering the possibility.

But his comments on Wednesday appeared to be more direct. Asked what his "immediate plans" were, he said, according to an attendee: "I'm thinking about running for president."

The answer was met with applause and a standing ovation, after which Bush said: "Can someone call my mother so she can hear this?" the source told FoxNews.com.

First of all, Bush doesn’t stand a chance. Where, pray tell, does he think the votes will come from?

The Left won’t vote for a Bush.

The Right won’t vote for RINO.

The squishy Middle is Hillary’s.

All he does is suck up enough money and rancor in the Republican primaries to ensure Hillary wins. That’s it.

Talk about delusions of grandeur!

“Ugh!” was my first thought too. :(

Hey, Jeb’s “people”: Are you monitoring the conservative sites? ‘Cause if you are, you will SEE the unrelenting negativity greeting Jeb’s semi-announcement. So do you think he’ll have the base behind him? Not a chance.

Tell your master to go run for Senator or dogcatcher or something. Or become a lobbyist. But don’t clog up the system by running for Prez.

His INTENT is to clog the system to ensure a Hilliary! win. It’s her turn.

A Jeb Bush nomination will be the end of the Republican Party.

The base will desert in droves. I know I will.

I hope Jeb Bush does run. I also hope McCain, Christie, Romney, LaTourette, McConnell, and Cantor run for President.

These even dwarves, and one conservative.

I have my wish for the Snow White conservative, but we will see.

He has to run to maintain the control of the Fabian Society and the UN over us. The Bush family bought over 46,000 acres of ranch land in S. America - do you suppose it was to grow bananas; or to escape to when they are indicted for treason?

Ya dont grow bananas on big ranches or is that the latest south american thing, a long time refuge for those who prefer to work behind closed doors amidst open pastures?

I guess bananas don’t grow in Maine well.

http://www.wbtw.com/story/22217297/bill-gates-jeb-bush-and-warren-buffett-meeting-at-sc-island Bill Gates, Jeb Bush, Oprah and Warren Buffett meeting at SC island Posted: May 10, 2013 10:39 AM CST

CHARLESTON, SC - Bill Gates, Chairman of Microsoft and one of the richest people in the world, is spending time in the Lowcountry.

WCBD confirmed the American business magnate is at the Sanctuary on Kiawah Island.

Suspicion was raised when nearly 20 very expensive jets were seen lined up at the Charleston International Airport on Johns Island.

Officials with the Beach Company confirmed to WCBD that other big names such as New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, TV host Oprah Winfrey and Billionaire Warren Buffet flew into the Charleston Executive airport on Johns Island Wednesday night.

Other prominent people said to also be staying there this weekend are Jeb Bush and Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The famous guests were attending a two day long conference led by Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Officials say the meeting was about the foundation Gates and his wife Linda run.

The meeting rented out the entire Sanctuary Hotel on the gated island. Security has been high throughout the entire week, keeping the public away from the hotel.

WCBD spoke to the Mayor of Kiawah by phone who said the town is happy to serve as host to the event.

“We wish them luck with what they’re doing,” Mayor Charles Lipuma said. “If they want to play golf, they couldn’t have picked a better weekend. We are glad we could offer them great weather.”
