Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who will be arriving in New York this afternoon for a trip trying to lure businesses to the Lone Star State, offered a Texas-sized take-down of Gov. Andrew Cuomos record on job creation this morning and challenged him to a debate.
Id be more than happy to sit down and have a thoughtful conversation, a debate with Gov. Cuomo over the issues that face us as a state and talk about the economic policies and compare New York to Texas, said Mr. Perry, speaking on New York Post columnist Fred Dickers Live from the State Capitol radio show. I think that would be not only interesting and fun, but a thoughtful way for us as a country to have a discussion between two of the major states in America, talking about which one of these policies are actually better for our people.

Theres a real message there: More wealth left the state of New York and California than any other two states in the nation, said Mr. Perry. And you have to be honest about this: Its about tax policy, its about regulatory policy, its about the legal system, and then its about a skilled workforce.

I could pack any hall to see this!
Stop it, Rick. We ALL know that the debate’s over. It matters not what the topic is, either.
Cuomo couldn’t debate his way out of a paper bag
Well, if he does I hope that he is prepared. I saw Perry get his ass handed to him a couple of years back in a point/counterpoint with my own Governor, Martin O’Malley. No time for being cute, cordial or courteous with this lying rabble of left-wingers. They are responsible for our economy. No reason to be nice about. They own it.
Not a lot of businesses left to lure away.....
If you are talking about the debate from 2013 — Well, then you and I saw two completely different debates.
Perry kept hitting O’Malley with the hard facts, hard numbers and irrefutable evidence that tax, tax, and spend liberalism in Maryland is ruining the state.
And O’Malley kept trotting out the same old tired liberal BS about tax cuts for the rich.
In the meantime Texas has attracted more private sector jobs since Perry has been governor than O’Malley in the same amount of time.
What has increased under O’Malley is incarceration rates, number of people on EBT/welfare/food stamps, unemployment, and long term disability.
The Perry Cuomo debate.
But if you looked in their political soul, my guess is they won't because they are cowards. The likes of Andrew, Smuckey Chumer, Di-FI and the rest of that fakakta carnival don't have the cohones to debate, a Gov Perry, Ted Nugent, Sarah Palin, Col. West. etc etc etc.
We ought to call them out like Reagan did in front of the Wall.....
I left in 1980 where I grew up is like Detroit Should have been made two states..upstate and NYC ..
He will never come out in the open Rick.
He will never come out in the open Rick.
Coomo is and big C
Gov. perry is incorrect. It is about the state political system. Everything else he mentions, taxes, regulation, etc are symptoms of elitist marxist tyranny. As I write this I just saw a NY State add stating an Az company was relocating to NY. Wait till their employees get their state and local tax bills.
Rob Astorino also just challenged Cuomo to a debate again, because Cuomo played the race card. What is it with Dems and their pseudo race cards?
