APNewsBreak: US weighs curbing deportations
Associated Press ^ | April 21, 2014 | ERICA WERNER

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Associated Press has learned that Homeland Security Secretary Jeh (Jay) Johnson is considering limiting deportations of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally but without serious criminal records. On President Barack Obama's orders, Johnson is conducting a politically charged review of U.S. deportation policy.

The potential change could shield tens of thousands of immigrants now removed each year solely because of repeated immigration violations, such as re-entering the country after being deported. The change would fall short of deportation curbs demanded by activists frustrated by congressional inaction on immigration legislation.

The possible move was confirmed by two people with knowledge of Johnson's review:

Senator Harry Reid: “We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it!”

Ah, but he didn’t say a word about illegals. Unlike us, THEY are free to violate the law and then walk away from it.

Pathetic!

And those same leaders now wonder why Americans no longer respect the rule of law. Why should they? Our leaders spit on the law every day!

“The potential change could shield tens of thousands of immigrants now removed each year solely because of repeated immigration violations, such as re-entering the country after being deported. The change would fall short of deportation curbs demanded by activists frustrated by congressional inaction on immigration legislation.”

The policy would be nothing less than a de facto agreement that (a) the majority of those deported for mere “immigration violations” have a right to be here in the first place and should not have been deported to begin with, and the first that conclusion is based on a corollary erroneous opinion that (b) legal immigration from countries providing most of the illegal immigrants is artificially too low, and the truth is that neither of those positions are supported by the facts.

Upwards of 25,000,000 trespass into the country illegally, violent open borders, creating epic violence and fraud and fedgov wants to curb deportations?

Yet they post snipers around some guys ranch in the middle of no where, tasing and threatening his family over some grazing cows?

When do they start strafing the law abiding legitimate?

The difference is that one is legitimate and the other isn’t.

That may seem like a very small difference, but one we get to debate and advocate for better policies. Will illegal immigration is just a free for all with no control whatsoever.

Right now considering the situation, we need a good 20 to 30 year moratorium on new immigrants. I will concede one aspect of this. If the person has actual strategic significance, then okay. If it’s just more refugees from some make believe crisis, no.

This is EXACTLY the problem.

It is a huge. Massive problem.

Everyone in America is for more, and more immigration.

Nobody is just, for America anymore. I understand there are still people for America, but it seems we are no longer in control in either party.

The GOP needs to be taken back, from these people.

Our system needs to look out, for America.

Now.

ONCE AGAIN--CONFIRMATION OF OBAMA'S RAISON D'ETRE and why he won't rest till every US law is eradicated:

It is an article of faith among "his people" that all US laws and all our rules and regs were created by evil, racist white men for the sole purpose of subjugating people of color, to demean them, and to keep them in poverty.

Clearly, Obama does not see himself as president of a thriving, productive America----an America of achievers, workers and doers.

Obama has a distaste for a thriving republic of freedom-loving citizens----in his befuddled mind he represents self-made victims, slackers, do-nothings, lay-a-beds, gutter snipes, welchers, weasels, con artists, felons, illegals, lawbreakers, and the rest of the losers and social misfits.

THE PAY-ME-I'M-A-VICTIM SCAM Obama's stupid "income inequality” whine is part and parcel of progressives' greed/envy/entitlement stupidity. More akin to a dirt-poor Third World satrap south of the border than a thriving republic ruled by laws and immutable market forces.

Obama can't seem to rise above his inane "community organizer" mentality. When he was crawling around the nabe preaching envy and greed----duping people on food stamps into believing they could payoff mortgages (ne'er do wells who taxpayers were forced to bail out).

He and Valerie lay awake nights---thinking up ways to flaunt US laws in the faces of patriotic American who recognize that America thrives on its sacrosanct rule of law.

Maybe they were brought here ‘entering illegally’ as kids by adults.

How about the adults who brought them here and created this mess, as Jeb calls it, ‘an act of love’ ???

Then ya got ID theft and falsification.
A amnesty bill always has to give those felonies a free pass.

They have been standing for it for over FIVE years now. As Levin says we are now in a post Constitutional era. Get used to it, there will never be another revolution in the soft America that we have turned into. My God, you even have the BLM pointing sniper rifles at citizens because they graze cattle for a living? That was the closest I came to seeing the potential for a CW@.

Come he$$ or high water the RAT party is obsessed with turning these illegal invaders and ALL THEIR FAMILIES into RAT voters.

I am waiting for the day the national clown wakes up and issues an executive order granting asylum to 30 million invaders. AND don't tell me they are not criminals - most of them have committed one crime or another - e.g. using a stolen ID.

Once these illegal aliens have achieved legal status like the dreamers currently can seek jobs and demand drivers licenses under clowns directives to ICE, DHS, and DOJ to stand down (many states are now issuing drivers licenses but AZ still denies them) the cry from the bleeding heart liberal and RINOS will be that it is inhumane to give them legal status and not allow them citizenship and the right to vote. They will be at the court house door 15 seconds after that EO is issued by the clown. Remember a driver's license is one centimeter away from voting and in some states is all they need to vote.

In some ways would it be worse to slowly decline rather than a quick outright collapse? Or would a fast collapse be better as more people would still have fresh in ther minds the concept of freedom?

I sometimes wonder if Conservatives should go “on strike” and just hand ALL the keys over to other side and say “Here you run it all for a while, you have 10 years”.

Sadly if we did that we would all be in camps before the 10 years were up....

Agree - but I would not ever want to give them the chance. In a way you could say the last five years have been exactly that experiment because we certainly do not have an OPPOSITION party seated in the House. All the hard work conservatives did to win in 2010 and maintain in 2012 and we end up with dem leadership in rino clothes?

I will be sitting 2016 out if the GOP runs another mittens or mclame.
