Thousands of Ukrainians chanted “Putin is a douche!” (Poo-teen hooy-loh!) at a packed soccer stadium.

The game was in Donetsk, but I think those were the Dynamo Kiev fans chanting that and not the Shaktar fans.

Anyone who follows European soccer knows about the “Ultras”, fanatics who like to fight fans of the opposing sides.
Normally a Shaktar-Dynamo game would produce a lot of nastiness in the stands between fans of the two teams, but from what I read, they were both united in displaying support for United Ukraine and disdain for Putin.
That’s no small feat.

He is a douche, but he is a nuclear-armed douche with a rather large and capable army.
I don’t find that picture very funny at all. You left out many of Putin’s titles. Where is “President for Life?” Where is “World’s Richest Autocrat?” Where is “Protector of the KGB and Christianity (situationally)?”
The script for this event was clearly written by some nutball in the state department.
