If it was a coup, so was the Russian Revolution, the Egyptian revolution and the American Revolution.

It has outraged Russia. This is exactly the kind of provocation that threatens to undermine the Geneva agreement.

Russia is outraged??

Here's an idea.

Tell Russia to get the eff out of Ukraine.

Sure they did.

Local media confirmed that Ukraine is trying to resurrect Hitler. Confirmed!

It was a coup. Even our media agree with that. He left before they murdered him.

Even our "media"?

LOL.

Yanukovich signed a deal agreeing to early elections.

Then he fled the country most likely because he feared that he would be charged with murder.

I'm astounded by the ineptness of the Kiev coup government. Attacking a checkpoint of citizens armed with bats in the early hours of Easter morning? Donetsk seems to be capable of defending itself, and now they'll never accept Kiev's authority.

I'm reading the pro-Kiev protestors here. Can't we stop the rhetoric, and pray for those who lost their lives and their families in this cowardly attack on civilians at a checkpoint? Looking at it as an outsider, wouldn't eveyone be better off if they stayed in their occupied buildings and avoided escalation until there's a vote? The irony is that western Ukraine probably would've prevailed in the vote with Crimea no longer voting in Ukraine.

Now you've probably got a Republic of Donetsk that can never be reconciled to western Ukraine.

Those who lost their lives are not innocents. They are proactively taking part in Russian foreign policy of annexation.

By agreement, they were supposed to vacate the government buildings.

” This is exactly the kind of provocation that threatens to undermine the Geneva agreement.”

The Geneva agreement was useless the moment it was signed.
Right-Sector is the “armed Militia group” the Russians were talking about in the agreement. The Kiev coup government can’t do it, because they are afraid of them, themselves.

>Russia has zero cause for outrage, they started this whole pseudo-invasion.

I’d give a little more credit to the tire burning crowd that torched Kiev city center.

“But that foiled Putin’s plan to subsume Ukraine”

Russia’s billions have been keeping the incredibly corrupt Ukraine afloat for years.

“If it was a coup, so was the Russian Revolution”,
Read some history, please....
After Lenin’s first failed coup, what happened to the Kerensky Government?

“American Revolution”
That wasn’t a coup, it was a breakaway. Kinda like what is going on now. The French helped.

Egyptian Revolution
The 2011 one was a U.S.-financed coup that put the Muzzie Brohood in power.

"Now you've probably got a Republic of Donetsk that can never be reconciled to western Ukraine."

That would probably be, "so much the better" in the eyes of the EU and Kiev. The new guys in Kiev would have a good excuse to renege on what they owe Russia and the EU could make more loans against future pipeline revenues.

Look at maps of where the pipelines run. The Eastern Ukraine being independent or part of Russia isn't important to the flow of gas to the EU.

The two main things to remember are,
1 - The Spice must flow without greedy little Ukrainians free to set pipeline fees,
2 - Barry wants to ride the big worm and take credit for keeping the Spice flowing.

JMHO
