Mary Landrieu barely won in ‘08 when a black Presidential
candidate was on the Dem Ticket.

***************

I guess ‘barely’ can be a subjective term but Landrieu won ‘08 with 52.1% and a
121,121 vote margin which was nearly three times larger than her ‘02 win. McCain
carried LA by 19% so she overcame that Republican margin.

Landrieu is polling in the low 40s now but there are six months until they vote.
I think the recent change to Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Comm.
was an effort to boost her election potential. Oil and gas is a big revenue item
for LA but just maybe she can be defeated.

Yes, it very well could.

Sadly, I do not think that many or most voters put much or even any thought into whom they vote for and why.

We have it now. Law was enacted last year, but it does not take effect until 2015.

Ok, then that veto was overturned in a later vote...thanks. Not much publicity about that here in NC.

Be funny if Brown wins and Ayotte loses in 2016. Brown is against creating 12 million Democrats.

I don’t believe she’s ever polled this low and Louisiana REQUIRES a 50%+ majority win to certify. She’ll easily make the runoff but an off election in December where she gets 41% of the vote with a 50%+ negative view of her? She’s toast unless she can score some major victory that gets the local Conservative Dems fired up.

Looks like RINO Tillis, carpetbagging transplant from Florida will be next US senator from NC. Not much better than Hagan, that’s for damn sure.

I counted up all the GOP votes and the democrat votes. Total GOP votes were 486,411 to the democrat’s 478,430. Libertarian got about 2,000 votes.

I can’t see a republican voting for Hagan, so the RINO should win the race unless it’s close the democrat machine steals it.

LOL...... Are you for real? You haven’t been coming to FR lately have you? There are a lot of vindictive people on this website. I just might be one of them. I loathe Mitch McConnell and all his crusty, old farts he has in the Senate like John McCain. I don’t give a crap if McConnell wins the General or not. We can still take control of the Senate without his old, wrinkled butt.

Hell would free over before I voted for a democrat. Most republicans feel the same way. If I didn’t feel like the vote was necessary I wouldn’t vote at all. Never, under any circumstances would I have for a democrat. I am 64 years old and never have I cast the first vote for one democrat, and never will.

Most Republicans you vote for are Democrats in GOP drag.

I vote for conservatives. Not RINOs. I didn’t vote for McCain, Bush the second time around, and damn sure didn’t vote for Romney.
