HONOLULU (AP) A former child model and aspiring actor is accusing "X-Men" franchise director Bryan Singer of sexually abusing him as a teenager in a federal lawsuit filed in Hawaii.
The lawsuit filed Wednesday says the prominent director of the forthcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past" forced Michael Egan III into sex during parties in California and Hawaii when he was 17 in the late 1990s.

I’ve always wondered about the level of evidence required in such cases. For instance, can I just come and accuse you of X, Y, Z? Such charges are weighty and the evidence required should be equally significant.
I would say yes...
Back around 2005 there was a divorced worker named Andy at my plant who was accused of molesting the young girlfriend of his daughter. He was arrested, thrown in jail and arraigned.......The female judge, without any evidence at all, called him a monster during the arraignment...
Long story short, the ex-wife, who was a nutcase, conspired with the girl to have her make the false accusation because Andy was the one who had custody of the daughter........
Even if you are found innocent, in the neighborhood you'll always be rememberd as "that guy".........
As a side note, while the company could have fired the guy while he was incarcerated, they chose not to and instead placed him on leave......
More weird news from Hollywood and one of their most open gay stars Bryan Singer.
I wonder why any parents would let their kids (especially boys) be in Hollywood.
This is why the gay mafia wants to do way with age of consent laws.
This guy Egan is going to lose the lawsuit, first because Singer has so much money and knows so many well connected lawyers that he will be able to get out of it. Second, Egan’s case appears a little weak — he was 17, which is right on the cusp of the age of consent (and is the age of consent in many states) and the situation seems bizzare. He went to a party and somehow Singer “forced” him into sex. Is Egan saying Singer raped him? If not, what is the basis for the suit.
Don’t get me wrong. I think the Hollywood culture of exploiting young stars — male and female — for sex is absolutely disgusting and evil. But the case for a lawsuit seems weak here.
For the money. Parents of kids who look the other way or even encourage spending time away from their supervision with adults in questionable situations are complicit, morally if not legally.
I’m pretty sure I actually met this Singer guy in 1999.
Uh, an intense and grasping desire for money, ill-gotten or not ?
