Donald Trump is showing his cards in the early 2016 sweepstakes – and he's betting on Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

The New York real estate mogul donated $5,000 to the Texas senator's leadership PAC during the first quarter, according to a filing with the Federal Election Commission.

Cruz's PAC, called the Jobs, Growth & Freedom Fund, took in far fewer receipts than the PACs of his potential White House rivals, Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Rand Paul, R-Ky.

It took in only about $23,000 in contributions and then added approximately another $120,000 in transfers from other committees and rebates.

Comparatively, Rand PAC netted about $322,000 in donations and transferred about $27,000 over the last three months and Rubio's Reclaim America PAC did about $132,000, while transferring over nearly $400,000....

I wouldn't say he's "fiery", but he must seem that way to effete milquetoast journalists.

Hey, The Donald has kids, grandkids and a legacy he doesn't want erased by a bunch of jealous, vindictive, envious Marxist lefties.

Cruz is the way to go.

and I guess he didn’t hear that the GOP has decided we can pick either Jeb Bush, Chris Christy, or Mitt Romney again.

You are right there.

The go along to get along Republicans want to run losers again and Trump wants to run a winner.

We need to throw out the trash this next election.

Every time I hear the word “Bush” I get so mad.

A Bush pledged to me “No new taxes.”

A Bush had Saddam Hussein in his crosshairs and then inexplicably deserted his post. His son started a war with Hussein a decade plus later and we lost more than 3000 soldiers in a country that will most certainly revert back to dictatorship and restart the whole thing again.

A Bush gave me the TSA who suspends my rights every time I fly and has never actually caught a terrorist before he failed in his attempt.

A Bush gave me the DHS that is blanketing our country with forces more set on infringing on Americans’ rights than in actually protecting this country from without.

A Bush tried to pass Amnesty legislation with willing Congressmen and Senators.

A Bush gave me increased Medicare Prescriptions costs and No Child Left Behind.

A Bush gave me nothing with regard to decreasing spending and corralling Democrats in their drive to enslave tax-paying Americans.

IOW, a Bush gave me a bad case of butt hurt; and I will NEVER vote for a Bush again.

As bad as your list seems, stop and think what Clinton and Obama have given you. The Bushes look like angels in comparison.

I understand that well. However, coming from people who are supposed to be on your side, they have wrought terrible precedents that has brought the GOPe to abandoning conservatism altogether.

It isn’t focused on freedom, values or smaller government; it is laser-beamed on Amnesty they think will enlarge their base (whatever that is), spending-lite enough to seem like Democrats, and to be that big tent that stands for anything that will get them elected.

They may look like angels, but there is nothing “heavenly” about a list of losers.;^)
