Mary Landrieu's video fakery reveals desperation: LA Senator sees re-election chances evaporating.

When Democrats get desperate they resort to fakery. And Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu sees her re-election chances evaporating, so it’s time to pretend. Byron York in The Examiner reports on a video ad she is running that contains fake footage of a Senate hearing, where she poses as something she is not, a fighter against the Obama administration, which she actually supports 95% of the time when she votes on official actions. York explains:

What Landrieu did to invite the ridicule was to re-create for her ad producers her own performance in a Senate hearing -- complete with set, supporting cast, fake nameplate, and even phony news chyrons -- to show her standing up for her state.

The unspoken message of the ad -- something Landrieu could never say directly -- is that by fighting "Washington," Landrieu means fighting Democrats, and particularly President Obama, whose job approval rating is in the 30s in Louisiana. "For years, she's forced Washington to respect Louisiana," an announcer says at the beginning of the ad, leading up to a soundbite in which Landrieu says, "The administration's policies are simply wrong when it comes to oil and gas production in this nation." (snip)

For Republicans in Louisiana, the fakery of Landrieu's ad represents a deeper disingenuousness in her campaign: she's trying to distance herself from a president and an administration of her own party whom she has supported up and down the line. "It's fitting that Landrieu's latest commercial tries to pass off video footage of a fake committee hearing as the real thing,” Louisiana Republican Party Chairman Roger Villere said in a statement Tuesday evening. "This is another example of Mary Landrieu trying to create an alternate reality to fool Louisianans."

The reenactment fixes a verbal flub from Landrieu’s original speech. Originally, she said “Do you think there are a bunch of fairy godmothers out there that just wish a magic wand?” The line is cleaned up for the campaign ad.
There are clues from the ad that the clips of her talking tough on energy are from a reenactment. Landrieu is wearing a different jacket and has a different haircut. Her nameplate that reads “Sen. Landrieu” is a larger size, and the aides sitting behind her are different, in a room that is clearly not the Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing room.

We can’t rely on pundits and newsrooms.

La voters have to do the research, find all her connections, dig up everything and keep publishing their findings.

Keep digging and publishing.

FR is a great place to publish, of course.

The Senate is full of lies, deception, corruption.

Eventually, enough comes out that we’ll start kicking out incumbents.

RE: La voters have to do the research

I think that’s too much to expect. I’d be grateful if even most of them show up to vote.

We will not forget the obamacare sell out and complete loyalty to the big O instead of Louisianians. We will do whatever is in our power to see that that elitist, egomaniac gets the boot from office forever. Maybe she will get a real job for once, that is ,if she qualifies for anything except living off Louisianians.

As I see it, most of her votes come from orleans parish which is the blue part of the state and votes blindly democrat. Orleans is 60% or more black and you have the liberal artsy class, and universities you also have the voting dead. She is a waste of breath and I hope we can rid ourselves of her once and for all.

As the article states, the Democrats are getting desperate.

This is also why I call a DemoCrat a DemoNrat (change that "C" to an "N", and you get a "DEMON RAT")...

Just remember folks, she accepted a $300 million deal for Louisiana, just to get her to vote yes for Obamacare.

Then in later video shots, she admits that she would vote for it, again!

With a familiar name though, we can’t be sure that she will lose. People in LA like names they can recognize.

Obama predicted that Democrat Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu would disown him before the rooster crowed the next morning. Prior to her general election Mary denied knowing him thrice, but after the third denial, heard the rooster crow and recalled the prediction as Obama turned to look at her. Mary then began to cry bitterly. This final incident is known as the Repentance of Mary.

Politics in Louisiana has always been a little ahead of national trends. We were voting against the lesser of two evils long before the rest of the country.

But Landrieu will be re-elected because down here its more about the election machine than anything else, and the Landrieu family is deeply imbedded in that machine.

Plus, her Republican opponents are more interested in tearing each other down than advancing any kind of conservative message.

Brand new proposed counterad:

Show this faked ad with a big horizontally scrolling banner through the middle with FAKE! FAKE! FAKE! scrolling by, with a voice-over attacking the “Fake Senator from Louisiana with Her Fake Staged Senate Appearance”, followed by “Here’s What Your Fake Senator REALLY Did at the Senate Podium!”, followed by her infamous on camera repetition of obama’s lie, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan; if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Period.”

OK, my question is this: Is this making news in LA or just in circles of political junkies, like us, and Byron York? Are the good folks of LA getting the word that she faked this Ad?
