Former Gov. John G. Rowland was indicted Thursday on conspiracy and other charges associated with two federal election campaigns, one of them involving a sham contract written to conceal $35,000 he was paid for political advice to congressional candidate Lisa Wilson-Foley.
Rowland is also accused of pitching a similar phony consulting deal to Mark Greenberg during his unsuccessful 2010 race for Congress in the 5th District. Greenberg, who said he rejected Rowland's offer, is identified in the indictment only as "Candidate 2."

He obviously didn't learn anything from his first stint in Fed prison.
Connecticut deserves a governor with principles.
Frankly I am shocked but not surprised myself. He simply did not learned from his first mistakes.
If he did it he deserves the punishment. However the joy and glee from the left over his downfall is extreme. When a democrat does the same thing, they all deny it. When it’s a normal person, they jump for joy and cry “party of corruption.”
John J......Hypocrite to the core.
All the pride that the Huskies brought to our beleaguered state was washed away with these new indictments.
This shameless creep had a chance at redemption and he threw it all away. Pox on him.
The Repub Party in CT is in shambles.
Malloy [present gov] is so unpopular....there was a chance to take that post. I still believe we have a few Tea Party people to move into state legislature spots.
Pray for us.
It breaks my heart to say it, but this has really put a damper on the UConn Huskies double championships. Also I feel very bad for Pastor Will because now he has had to take over the midafternoon talkradio show. God Bless him and his ministry.
Bless Pastor Will’s heart....but I find it painful to listen to him ..... he needs to have someone help him with focusing on issues that interest the body politic, ie: PM talk radio
Well he is just starting to warm up.
The CT Republican Party needs new blood. The tea party needs to take over the party and I bet they would do better than the RINOs running it.
Best wishes to the TP movement on doing that, it will be a hard fight.
Yep, this kind of corruption is a killer. The state has cranked up taxes since Malloy came in as a Democrat governor—and now has the highest total tax burden in the country.
Let’s see how Martha Dean does.
I’m hopeful with her.
From the Goldwater Institute, the fertile frontal lobe of the conservative movement’s brain, comes an innovative idea that is gaining traction, and its advocates may bring it to at least 35 other states’ legislatures. It would use the Constitution’s Article V to move the nation back toward the limited government the Constitution’s framers thought their document guaranteed.
I have to agree. God Bless Pastor Will, but...
Pastor Will talks about Common Core 24/7... does he ever discuss any other topics?? I just can't listen anymore.
I usually listen to Howie Carr on WHYN 560 AM during that 3-6 slot anyway - his humor keeps me sane, living in an uber-Blue State...
I trust you fellas have seen this.
I see this. I celebrate this!
