I don’t believe any of their “numbers”.
Looks like every unemployed American has either moved back in with their parents, killed themselves or signed over their soul to Mother Government.
*MISSION ACCOMPLISHED*
*SPIT*
Unrevised, and therefore worthless. When the adjusted number comes out in a week or so (to far less fanfare, naturally), it’ll be much higher, maybe even an increase.
...this IS an election year...
(short-stroking air)
“...first-time applications for jobless benefits falling to 320,000...”
-
Do they publish stats for second and third time applications?
And how many people left the workforce or had their benefits expire.....
What a bunch of BS. No one believes this anymore. All you have to do is ask around. Even here in the NY area where the real estate market has fared better and so too the economy, people are STILL being laid off. I have more friends than I can count on one hand that have “retired” and become stay at home Dad’s/Substitute Teachers. (after their unemployment ran out)
Stats can be manipulated. But even without that, they can be read in a vacuum to be interpreted many different ways. You have to look at the overall picture.
Riiiiiiiight....
It’s not that I don’t want the numbers - they just aren’t believable. What is it like 132 out of 133 weeks have been revised back up? Well, instead of listing examples of being lied to.... name a time when this regime gave truthful numbers - on anything.
No wonder the market doesn’t react well. Market knows this regime lies. Joe Wilson you’re a soothsayer....
Half of Detroit’s on disability... and the rest of the lowlife’s are following.
The numbers would have been worse, but the warm weather was so pleasant, people took advantage of the great outdoors and did not bother applying for jobless claims in the stuffy, uncomfortable government buildings.
See how easy that was?
There isn’t nearly as many jobs out there for people to loose, of course the number will go down.
This rate has been consistently measured since the 20's. It is now at the lowest point ever recorded.
This does not indicate economic recovery.
