What a bunch of BS. No one believes this anymore. All you have to do is ask around. Even here in the NY area where the real estate market has fared better and so too the economy, people are STILL being laid off. I have more friends than I can count on one hand that have “retired” and become stay at home Dad’s/Substitute Teachers. (after their unemployment ran out)
Stats can be manipulated. But even without that, they can be read in a vacuum to be interpreted many different ways. You have to look at the overall picture.

Doesn't matter that I look around the neighborhood and see houses for sale sitting empty.
