1) Moscow probably is lying.

2) Ukraine has the right to hire as many mercenaries it wants to fight its battles on its soil against Russian backed thugs.

“Ukraine has the right to hire as many mercenaries it wants to fight its battles on its soil against Russian backed thugs.”

Because their own troops can’t be counted on in a fight.
That says a lot about current conditions in Ukraine, doesn’t it?

I don’t think there’s any “maybe” about it. The Russians clearly intend to imply that the US government itself has put these forces into Ukraine; even a strong US president, even Reagan himself, would not have done so.

That doesn’t mean that the United States has to accept the offer.

Not saying it is, as I don’t know, but we have no business getting involved in this anymore than we would giving aid, help, arms or mercenaries to the Syrian rebels - a pit that we almost fell into concerning Syria.

Svoboda and Right Sector are in Ukraine. Svoboda is ultranationalist, described as soft Neo Nazi’s; Svoboda has 1/4 of the interim gov’t seats in Ukraine. Dumb move on Uraine’s part.

And that bone-ead Mccain (who had some love for KLA, then pictured with notorious Syrian rebels and then lately Svoboda leaders) wants to arm Ukrainians!

Who’s hands could/those weapons fall into?
