Hello - Would just remind everyone that the teenager in question is innocent until proven guilty. I asked for the police to elaborate on how they established this was a gang initiation, and they said they couldn't give more details at this point. For this initial story (about 12 hours after the alleged crime) the suspect's citizenship and legal status are not yet germane, in my estimation. If he is convicted and it has bearing on the case, the relevant details will be reported.
“Bias” as opposed to “hate crime.” Guess it depends on who the victim is.
Notice how quick the authorities are to pile on “bias crime” charges when the victims are members of a privileged group.
In 95% of the cases we read about like this, the police are falling all over themselves to deny bias as a motive, no matter how overwhelming the evidence.

Truthfully, when there is a conservative POTUS, he should really turn the FBI loose against gangs. Ask congress to pass a law whose purpose is to annihilate gangs.
There are some 1.4 million people in the US in some 30,000 street gangs. Put half a million in federal penitentiaries for life, and the vast majority of the rest will give up the gang life for good, out of fear.

As far as this POS goes he should be deported back to San Salvador where the Salvadorean police have a high incidence of negative interaction with MS-13 deported back from the U.S. as in an informal policy of extermination.
