An ethics panel has dismissed a complaint that accused Arkansas congressman and Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Tom Cotton of illegally soliciting contributions during a radio interview at his office in the U.S. Capitol.

However, former Arkansas Chief Justice Jack Holt filed a new complaint Wednesday against Cotton. Holt is asking the Office of Congressional Ethics to consider whether Cotton broke House rules by not specifying clients for whom he provided consulting services.

This disgusts me. The thugs realize they are likely to lose power in November, and they are willing to remove the remaining shreds of legitimacy from government on their way out in the hope of either weakening the government before we gain control or creating a miraculous win. Abusing ethics laws like this has been tried many times before (Governor Palin was a victim), and the left is happy to prance down that path again.

A tactic frequently used by Dems against Pubbies.

It could mean that Dem Pryor is in big reelection trouble.

Some ‘group’ has been running very negative ads about Cotton voting for funding for Obamacare provisions.

The Pryor-Cotton race is going to get nasty as the election approaches.

“It could mean that Dem Pryor is in big reelection trouble.”

Could mean? The polling runs Pryor at 40-42% and Cotton 45-51%. If Pryor is at 42% or less, he will loose.
