Leading Republican hopefuls Shane Osborn and Ben Sasse are well ahead of their Democratic opponent in Nebraska’s U.S. Senate race, but Sasse runs stronger among both GOP voters and all voters in the state.

A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Nebraska Voters finds Sasse with 52% support, while David Domina picks up 27% of the vote. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, but a sizable 16% are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey of 750 Likely Voters in Nebraska was conducted on April 7-8, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Sasse looks like a super smart guy...and would be a great asset in DC. a Lee or Cruz type Senator.

Which is probably why the party is fighting him so far.

I am glad to see my relative do well. Ben is sincere in what he says and believes what he says in his speeches and writings. His grandfather and father instilled great values in him, And he lives those values daily.

I wished I lived in Nebraska so I could vote for him.

Kansas has 2 Republican senators. We also have a Republican Governor who is hated by the left because he eliminated most state income tax. Kathleen Sebelius woke a lot of people up with her corruption and stupidity.

I was about to ask "why did they have to be awakened?" And then I remembered this:

"Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction.

It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people.

Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."

TO THOSE WHO DO LIVE IN NEBRASKA: I believe we can request mail-in ballots now, for the primary. Don’t forget to get one for your pets and away-at-college students! JUST KIDDING

Will check this later on the Douglas County election comm website (working on a work project that has to go out today).

We’ve had a number of RINO Governors due to our open primaries. The conservatives are trying to (and may have) change this, much to the outrage of the cheating left.
