Gov. Scott Walker is going back to school.

A spokeswoman for the Wisconsin Republican says Walker is looking to sew up a degree he abandoned 24 years ago when he was a senior at Milwaukee's Marquette University and left to accept a position with the American Red Cross.

Walker explained his struggle in finishing up his college education: "I kept thinking I'd go back, got married, had one kid, had another kid, next thing you know," he said, "you're worrying more about paying for your kids' college education than you are for your own."

Why? Does he want his IQ to get lower? Start using ridiculous ideas like Keynesian economics?

Why? He obviously doesn't need the degree to be successful.

He probably won’t be taken seriously as a presidential contender without a degree. Hence, he is going back to school. I can’t blame him.

The only people who won't take him seriously are the shallow, useless people that see a useless degree as something of value.

You know, the HR types. Drones.

Agree, in today’s colleges you lose all rational thought and common sense.

More and more successful people these days are drop-outs.

REALLY REVEALING about our hate-America University system, I think.

WHY even finish, Scott…?

Seriously.

The Democrats here in Wisconsin have been running Walker down over no college degree since he first ran for County Executive, Governor, Governor recall and now when as he runs for his second term as governor. They just have no respect for non degree politicians. Meanwhile, he outperforms the Democrats he defeated or replaced in those offices.

‘Twould seem he’s much better off without it.

Remember, the Obamadork is demonstrably the most inept president (and most probably current resident) of the country.

And he has some degrees (maybe)...from some schools with very questionable standards.

And Walker (and Sarah Palin) are both much, much, MUCH smarter.

And that’s the twuth.

Good for Governor Walker.

If I were him I would apply for the degree to be in “Political Science”, that way he could get massive credits for his previous experience (which could easily earn him a “Masters”).

He has done wonders in the political field already by defeating and abolishing one union although he still has more opportunity in that area which, when completed could “nudge him” into having enough credits without ever sitting in a class room.

Why not? If he’s only a few hours short, get it done and move on. He’s looking strong for the White House one day, and this ties down a talking point.

You just described millions, and millions, and millions of voters.

I know, but a national race is a different story. It isn’t the Democrats Scott Walker has to worry about. It’s his fellow Republicans whom he has to beat in the primaries who will be his main concern until 2016.

Yep. And they, sadly, shape much of the public’s opinion.

The last US President without a college degree was Harry Truman -- who towers above the current White House resident. There is something to be said for avoiding a degree.

After what he’s done for his state, he should be going back to teach them a thing or two.
