Russia Accuses US Mercenaries Of Inciting Civil War In Ukraine
Zero Hedge ^ | 7 April 2014 | Tyler Durden

In response to claims by the Ukraine government (and the west) that Russia provoking trouble in Eastern Europe - with The White House's Jary Carney even suggesting that pro-Russia demonstrators were paid - Russia's foreign ministry has responded. Posting via their Facebook page, Russia urged Ukraine to halt any interior military preparations which could instigate a civil war. But the kicker, for which we anxiously await a rebuttal, is Russia's comment that they "are particularly concerned that the operation involves some 150 American mercenaries."

The US administration perspective... (via WaPo)

In Washington, the Obama administration expressed deep skepticism that the scattered uprisings and building takeovers in cities such as Donetsk and Kharkiv have been spontaneous. "There is strong evidence suggesting some of these demonstrators were paid," said Jay Carney, the White House spokesman.

"If Russia moves into eastern Ukraine, either overtly or covertly, this would be a very serious escalation," Carney said.

Well, they had to do SOMEthing to try to take Putin down - Not only is his popularity in Russia in the 70-80”S and he is more trusted and respected in the world than our little punk - but the comparison between him and our punk has ben a running joke for some time - especially in America...

What strange times we live in.

Who was the state department person who said "F..." the EU, and why?!!!

Our recent history of meddling in the affairs of other states is well known and Putin is using common knowledge to Russia's advantage.

Lol...you mean like this?

Visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland has said that Washington will provide $10 million to Moldovia to help secure the country's borders.

There were multiple reports and several threads here about a large group of Blackwater (or whatever the name of the day is) security types arriving in Kiev shortly after the takeover.

This is likely the group being referred to by the Russians.

Yeah, we’re laughing too.

Maybe Pootie poot and Barrymore could have a beer summit and watch the movie `Outpost’—a first-rate B movie about mercenaries/instigators and Nazi zombies, and hash out their differences.

Starring that fine limey actor, Ray Stevenson, `Outpost’ is about a bunker in eastern Europe where during WWII the Germans had built a machine that allowed them to manipulate the 4th dimension—time and space—and create invincible soldiers.

A multinational corporation wants to harness the power of this amazing kraut technology, so they send in a team of mercs/gators led by Stevenson, but of course the resident wraith-like Nazi soldiers have something to say about the matter and they kill everybody.

On second thought, Barry would probably rather golf and attend fund raisers; I mean, he doesn’t even attend national security meetings so why would he make an effort to try to prevent global thermonuclear war?
Oh well. I tried.

The thing I’ve noticed about Putin is he can usually backup what he says with evidence. If he does so in this case, it’s not going to look too good for the west...
