I would note this....being originally from Bama....over the past couple of years....home invasions are on the increase...and almost a daily event in some part of Alabama. I think drug usage (especially meth)...is creating a mental state where you think you can get away with just about anything.

In this case....one less guy we need to worry about.

I don’t agree. I live in eastern Elmore County. This is an extremely rare occurrence. The fact is, almost everyone around here has a gun or guns (usually guns). Meth or Crack heads busting in get shot, as in this story, so it would have to be an increase of suicides, not break-ins, LOL.

Seriously though, this is the first one I’ve heard of in at least a year.

Same problem in GA especially Atlanta area. Lots of home invasions. We have people skulking around our yard and house all the time.

My best friend had to confront 2 people in her kitchen about a year ago. This is a nice neighborhood too. So they moved about 1.5 miles down the road to a new neighborhood. A couple of mos ago somebody got in their kitchen late at night. She and her husband ran down stairs with the shotgun but the perps had already taken off.

Our neighbor’s wife got followed all the way home from Walmart recently by 2 guys. She called her husband on the way and he was waiting in the front yard with his 9MM when she drove up. The perps took off.

this is just the beginning. Its going to get much worse as things continue to devolve.
