I don’t agree. I live in eastern Elmore County. This is an extremely rare occurrence. The fact is, almost everyone around here has a gun or guns (usually guns). Meth or Crack heads busting in get shot, as in this story, so it would have to be an increase of suicides, not break-ins, LOL.

Seriously though, this is the first one I’ve heard of in at least a year.

My daughter went to UA in the nineties and lived off campus. She worked part time at a truck stop and knew every in cop the local area.

Her apartment was broken into and I got a call, with the cops in the back ground, “Daddy I Need a Gun!” I bought her a S&W 357 and she got a CC.

A few months later I got another call, “Daddy I was broken into when I got home, I pulled my gun. You never saw a black man run so fast.”

I called the County Sherriff to thank him and from then on she was known as “Daddies Girl” to all of the cops.
