Hooray, hooray! they said in print.
192,000 jobs were created last month according to the Department of Labors somewhat flawed mathematics that the media is eager to ignore.
Because hidden inside that job gain is another disheartening sign for the workforce: the number of workers who could only find part-time jobs rose by 225,000.
Leading the field in job creation, not surprisingly, was education and health services with 34,000 jobsthank you Obamacare-- the retail trade with about 22,000 jobsthank you Obamacare-- and temporary workers with 28,500 jobs thank you Obamacare.
So the good news is that if youre independently wealthy and just want a job to keep you busy, Obamas economy is for you. Which, by the way, is an apt description of President Obamas own job situation.
And that just proves that were all either too stubborn or too stupid to: 1) become African-American; 2) write a book about it and become fabulously rich; and 3) work part time as president, so that others can only work part time too thank you Obamacare.
Its estimated today by Rand that only 850,000 Americans who previously didnt have health insurance as Obamacare turns one week oldthank you Obamacare. That means that about 6.25 million Americans had policies canceled, premiums raised, and the their doctors told to hit the bricks.
It also is largely responsible for the wide disfigurement in the labor force, with the country becoming a nation of sub-worker.
This from the administration whose slogan is less work, more cooking of dinner.
With almost 7.5 million Americans who can only find part time work, the administration has undone, in one month, most of the work that the economy did it trying to make up for the Obamacare Effect.
The Obamacare Effect penalizes companies for hiring full time workers. In part thats because Obamacare redefined full time work to 29 hours per week. In part its because low wage occupations like waiting tables, entry level health technicians and retail are in industries that typically would have a hard time providing benefits for employees while offering products at prices consumers demand.
Not only has it raised the number of part time workers to unnatural levels, it also means that those workers get about ten percent fewer hours than previous part time workers got historically.
In the business cycle following the recession in the early 90s, part time employment topped out at 3.38 percent of the civilian population. Every year afterward it made steady progress so that in six years later part time employment stood at 1.78 percent of the population. In the peak year of the cycle, part time jobs dropped 55 percent.
Contrast that to the time under Obama: Part time employment peaked at 3.78 percent in 2009. Since then it has made much slower progress downward, and there are some indications that the trend is enjoying one of the periodic upward reversals that weve seen under Obama. Right now the numbers of part time workers stands at 2.95 percent of the population, as decline of only about 21 percent since 2009.
But again, even this understates the problem.
Because those full-time workers are making 10 percent less than they previously made because they cant work as many hours.
Im guessing since Obama only has part time work, he figures everybody else can get along with part time work too.
Well have more time to cook dinner, but of course well not have the groceries.
Americans are very picky, arent we?
Well yes we have to be: Since the media, the politicians and civil servants doesnt seem to be very picky on our behalf, what choice do we really have?
We want to cook our cake and eat it too, while politicians say Cake, cake, let them eat cake.
With less hours of work, we will all have the time for a couple rounds of golf every week, just like our dear leader.
It discussed the problem with the dichotomy between the reported unemployment rates vs. the actual participation rate of the employable. It also talked about the pit that those who have been perpetuating the lies have dug and intimated that it might be so deep that they couldn't crawl out of it because to do so would engender a real rage about all the lies so far - lies beget lies to the point where the truth is no longer an option.
I just took a quick peek and don't see it there today, but it might still be out there somewhere.
more time means we can enjoy a different pursuit in detail.
Like medieval French monastery poetry or some such
Secondly: The John Doe going under the name of "Obama" is hardly working "part-time". Yes, in his job as POTUS he has dispensed with a lot of traditional functions, and to those who lack understanding, he gives the appearance of goofing off a lot.
But that only seems to be so. His full time job - the destruction of the United States of America and its replacement with a racial socialist dystopia - must consume lots of his time, effort, and energy. He is, in effect, the chairman of a vast, invisible communist party, and he gives direction to many third and fourth level appointees whose efforts are amazingly fruitful in furtherance of his goals.
YEAH. Working as caddies.
Yep, nothing from MSM on this, including FOX.
Move along. Nothing to see......
CNN: Jobs report a disappointment, still digging out of the hole from recession

Dont let the graphic on the front page fool you CNNs Michaela Pereira and Christine Romans didnt mean to draw a smiley face on todays jobs report, either literally or figuratively. They both recognize that the BLS numbers are a disappointment, and do a good job of explaining why:
I think a better analogy would like saying a farmer doesn't produce vegetables. Vegetables are "created" by other vegetables that produce seeds. What the farmer does do, is creates an environment that either fosters and cultivates, or stunts and retards their growth.
Similarly, a POTUS (in conjunction with congress) sets policies, and indeed a tone that either encourages or discourages the private sector's creation of jobs.
As things stand now, we have a farmer that has seeded his fields with rock salt.
Are caddies paid wages that are reported, and then forced to pay taxes on assumed tipping like waiters?
so... now they can work you 39 hours and not have to pay your health care!
Makes you wonder if that redefinition of "full time" has been encorporated into labor statistics, so that the part-time workers are now actually much higher than they already appear to be.
I believe the answer is yes.
I’ve said for a couple years that “29ers” would greatly improve govt unemployment stats as more part timers are hired to pick up the slack.
If you’re right, then this shell game (that I already think is terrible) is far worse than I thought and this nation closer to serfdom than I thought.
Part-time, minimum wage work is NOT a career...but it’s being treated that way.
If is serfdom. Bare subsistence with a bossy overlord.
It’s my opinion that 0bama will do anything himself or have his appointees do anything to make him and his administration look good so my comment to that would be yes.
