I bet we have a lot mothballed. I remember a year or two back, Eglin’s 33rd TFW flew their F-15s to the boneyard.

probably zero, all the engines and guts are taken out. anything flying now probably have upgrades the old ones wouldn’t.

How many older mothballed fighters could the US return to service? I saw a P-51 at the Cody airport the other day and it looked far more effective than any F-35 I haven't seen.
