World Vision board member has resigned in protest after the Christian aid group quickly reversed its decision to hire employees in same-sex marriages.
Jacquelline Fuller, director of corporate giving for Google Inc., said in an email Wednesday to The Associated Press that she remains a "huge fan" of the group's work on behalf of the poor, but she resigned Friday "as I disagreed with the decision to exclude gay employees who marry."

personally the entire board ought to step down.
they all voted for it. they allsaid they “prayed for years” over this subject before voting unanimously to approve it. they defended their decision by the fact they had said they prayed earnestly about this for years before voting on the change.
they ALL need to go.

One article I read said that World Vision acknowledged making an error of judgment in changing this policy in America. I still have not heard what their policy is elsewhere.
Was America the anomaly for rejecting same sex marriage or for supporting it?

Pray for her true conversion to Christianity (because she apparently doesn’t believe in Jesus), and be glad that she’s gone from this organization.

Good - every board member who voted for the policy to hire gays should resign.

Reading the lines before those scenes, it was because there 'were many who followed him' (Mark 2) and also that it was because they wanted to hear what he had to say (can't recall which book, but I read it either in a Daily Mass or a reading from the Breviary/Office of the Hours).
So basically, the sinners can to him because their ears and hearts were at least open to repentance. Of course, the Pharisees missed that point. I think we need to point this out when people use the argument you referred to. It's not like Jesus didn't care about them - he came for sinners and tax collectors to preach, not to hang out with.

While many educational administrators may feel like martyrs, I have yet to encounter any who were “christ-like”.
