FREEHOLD, N.J. -- A man who tossed his 2-year-old daughter into a creek while she was still strapped into her car seat was convicted Thursday of her murder.
Jurors found Arthur Morgan III guilty of killing Tierra Morgan-Glover, whose body was pulled from a creek in a park near the Jersey shore in November 2011. They also found him guilty of child endangerment and interference with custody.
Prosecutors had said he killed Tierra to get back at her mother for breaking off their engagement. They said he weighed down her pink car seat with a tire jack. Her body was pulled from a creek in a park in Wall Township, about 20 miles from her Lakehurst home, with one tiny black and purple sneaker sticking out of the water.
Morgan could be ordered to spend the rest of his life behind bars when he is sentenced May 28.
Defense lawyers had asked the jury to convict Morgan of reckless manslaughter, which could have seen him freed in as little as five years.
Morgan's state of mind the day of his daughter's death was a key part of the case. In his opening statement, defense attorney Ryan Moriarty indicated Morgan would not deny responsibility for Tierra's death but told jurors their task was to decide "what form of homicide applies to this defendant."

This is beyond comprehension for me. As a parent, you’re supposed to be the protector of your child. Not their killer

have been sent to his maker..the devil.
The whole process taking about a month.
I work in a prison. this is my guess as to what will happen to him. He will be in general population very briefly... until other prisoners will beat the snot out of him. Then He will be placed in protective segregation where he will be locked up in a 6’x12’ box for 23 hours a day, meals and showers in cell. He will remain there for years thinking about what he did while his sanity will slowly slip away. Perhaps he will become suicidal, or a “cutter”. Perhaps he wil be placed on psych meds that will render him a drooling cipher. It’s still better than he deserves but in some ways it will be worse than death.

There’s a wolf preserve in Salem New York. I say I say paint his naked self with chicken gravy and drop him in to visit the “puppies”
They had a case recently in western Wisconsin of a guy, separated/divorced from his wife, returned to her home and slit the throats of his three young daughters. Got life imprisonment. Another time I wish Wisconsin had public hangings for crimes like that.
