Once nanotech capacitors can be used as batteries, I might be interested in an electric car, but to replicate the amount of energy in a single gallon of gas requires a HUGE battery, even if it’s LIB.

Some jerk in the Walmart parking lot was zipping around in his electric car, speeding and paying no attention to the right of way of pedestrians. No one could hear him coming and I almost got nailed. Maybe the editor had a good idea and all electric cars should come with a soundtrack.
TX DOT workers worry about the noiseless cars, especially when they are near a road that has the newer pavement with ground up tires in the mixture. Rain drains out of the surface to the road sides. It is so quiet, they can’t hear a Prius coming on the road.
