National news does seem a bit over the top, but with the emphasis on bullying these days, an adult that abets that kind of behavior against a child needs to be called to account.

In this particular case, it's an ADULT doing the badgering... you don't find that somehow unacceptable?
It should….from a cultural sense. You see, if this had been in a unionized state, the bus driver would not have been fired…..so from that standpoint, and the context of all this talk about bullying….it should.
Context is often more important than the story itself.

My brothers and I were the anti-bullies in our schools. We would not allow it in our presence. In today’s world of zero-tolerance of any trait suggesting manhood or masculinity, we would not have graduated.
We are raising a generation of wussies. I particularly am incensed by the “I won’t stand for” ads. Oh really? You won’t stand for something? Riiiiiight.
We need to remove the dick-licker from office and return to American values, accomplish conflict resolution through self-governance in school and the workplace. Bullies were not permitted by the so-called bullied. There were always more than a few of us who were willing to kick some a$$holes a$$ when needed. And, there was no one to tell us we weren’t “appropriate”. The teachers knew we were merely self-regulating our environment. The teachers appreciated that we did.
I agree with what you’re saying here, but in this particular case, the driver was aggravating whatever the situation was by egging on other students to mock this girl. Last I checked, the driver’s job was to drive fecking bus, not harass kids.
The brat you say? Where exactly was the evidence that this particular girl was a brat?
Please tell me where you’re going with that post…..I mean, on the surface, I agree with a lot of what you said, but I don’t see it applying here. Do you really think the problem is the wussification of little girls? I don’t think so. We have a wuss problem, but I don’t think little girls are where we need our macho on.
