No person named Muhammad Abdullah Hassan should ever be permitted to serve in the U.S. military, much less granted a security clearance. I know: there are probably more good Muhammad Abdullah Hassans than bad ones, but at this juncture we can’t afford to take the chance.
I think he was “Booker” when he joined. I’m assuming he was black, because there are many black people named after Booker T. Washington, but on the other hand, he could have been any Kansas City teenager of any color who was depressed and dysfunctional enough to convert to Islam.
I would go as far as saying no person named Muhammad Abdullah Hassan should be allowed to be in the US, let alone live here. Dying, on the other hand, is quite fine. My statements are predicated on the fact that Islam is not a religion. It is a death cult and as such its followers have no 1st Amendment protections based on religious grounds.
Oh, puh-leaze... you know we need to round up every John Smith first.
As noted above this Hassan is apparently negro. And with a name or nickname like Booker I figgered he had to be negro and that Booker was more likely his real name. Just guessing but I expect he adopted the Hassan handle to see if he could join the Army. And it’s the discharge part of the story that baffles me unless they had already figgered out the name was a ringer. Other wise there’s no way I’d discharge the dumbass-—keep him in and prosecute him into the next available color.
