Id like to help out the Harvard Law professor and media figure said during an appearance on Huckabee Saturday night, noting hes a member of the Massachusetts bar and could offer his legal expertise.
When you hear about a case like this you scratch your head and you say something else must be going on, he noted.
Pelletier was removed from her parents custody in February 2013 following accusations of medical child abuse. Lou and Linda Pelletier had been treating Justina for mitochondrial disease, but when they brought her to Boston Childrens Hospital with the flu, doctors there said she had somatoform disorder, a psychiatric disorder, instead. The commonwealth stepped in when the hospital raised concerns after the Pelletiers disagreed with the new treatment plan, which would shift to treatment for somatoform.

My sentiments exactly!
Where is Eric Holder? Oh, it is a white family being tormented. Nevermind. Everything going according to plan.
Go git ‘er done, counsellor!
Dershowitz is not a conservative...actually he is a sort of liberal ...He is honest, fair and courageous and a very smart man. He is always for justice, not politics or fame.
I really admire this man.

I’m with him. Nothing about this makes sense to me.I’ve had dealings with Boston Children’s and always loved it.
.
Dershowitz is frequently not in agreement with me on political issues, but he is surely someone I admire greatly, very greatly, as he is brilliant, usually very knowledgeable on the law, and always seeking to do the right thing for people. So, I will leave aside my differences of opinion on certain matters and just say, THANK YOU ALAN for your concern with so many people over the years ...people needing a damned good lawyer’s help!
There was a newspaper studying the hospital and found four or five other cases of the same hospital doing a parent-ectomy. Parents disagree with a diagnosis or hospital’s decision, the hospital calls in DCF and gets authorities involved. In another case of mitrochondrial disorder, too.
Props for Prof. Dershowitz.
"What's going on" is that we no longer live under the rule of law.
We live under the rule of bureaucrats and they make the law.
My guess is that Mass. DCS and Childrens Hospital have dug a very deep hole and are trying to keep it out of the regular court system. Right now they are in the bureaucratic domestic and juvenile courts where the rule of law is bent beyond belief and rights are trampled by bureaucrats. If they can get the case out into a regular state court or federal court things might change.
The man has taken some very unpopular positions because of principle. He’s very very smart. You never want him as an enemy. I hope he is able to get involved.
Dershowitz is becoming a real mensch. Good on him.
Dershowitz is actually a flaming lib..is pro abortion..but once in a while he gets things right on the money, glad he wants to help out in this case what is going on here is straight up kidnapping
I believe with Dershowitz what you see is what you get. He's in no way a conversative, but is very fair. He's principled, unapologetic and will stand up for what he believes in regardless of who is irritated by his statements, but without resorting to personal insults and that nastiness and venom that we see in most liberals.
I respect him for that even if I strongly disagree with most of his political and social positions.
This is a good example, describing someone he does not want see succeed politically, because he is on the other side of the fence: Ted Cruz.
"DERSHOWITZ: One of the sharpest students I've had in terms of analytic skills. Ive had 10,000 students in my 50 years at Harvard. I write all about that in my book Taking the Stand, and I write about my great students. He has to qualify among the brightest of the students.
MORGAN: So we have to assume from that, just in the extraordinary piece of insight into him - because he's come really from nowhere to many people we have to assume from that this is all part of a strategy. What do you think his strategy is?
DERSHOWITZ: I think he deeply believes what he's doing. I don't think of him so much as a tactical or strategic thinker. Hes deeply principled. He thinks he's doing the right thing. That doesn't mean it's the right thing, and hes very hard to get off that principled argument. I saw that years ago when he was a student. He was not a compromiser. He was not somebody who tried to make friends by accepting what was then the political correctness of the day. If you want to defeat Ted Cruz, you have to appeal to his principles not to his tactics.
Harvard's teaching hospital, Boston Children's
is reminding me of Auschwitz. The Boston Children's Hospital staff reminds me of Dr Mengele
Massachusetts Department of Children and Families
reminds me of the German (SS) Schutzstaffel.Governor Deval Patrick supports the concept that
"children belong to the state"Massachusetts is rapidly approaching Nazi Germany.
Bump -— the family needs help from all quarters -— STILL.

This is excellent.
Dershowitz is one of those guys that some days you love him and some days you want to strangle him. :-)
