As part of its plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, the Obama administration is targeting the dairy industry to reduce methane emissions in their operations.
This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990.
(The White House has Proposed) cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the countrys greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions which is a very potent greenhouse gas.
Some of these methane emissions come from cow flatulence, exhaling and belching other livestock animals release methane as well.

Human vegetarians produce a lot of methane, too.
Noah’s fault.
Why not? It regulates nearly everything else.
surely they are moving to control the food supply
Duct taping the LIAR in chiefs mouth would have a more profound effect.
There is no sanity left in this administration....What are they going to propose??? Fart sacks for cattle???
You got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!
The EPA is taking on Pootin’!
So now federal regulators are going to visit dairy farms, to assess how much gas is produced?????
Can I ask a stupid question? If domestic cattle are aggravating global warming, isn’t it quite possible that various wild animals are also doing so? But, the PETA types would be aghast at any efforts to control wild animal populations, wouldn’t they?
This has got to be a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Obummer is going to tell the dairy farmers to stop their cows from pooping. What Obummer needs to do is to stop his own pooping.
We should have a vegetarian tax, like the carbon tax, to help regulate methane emissions.
The White House interprets the cow flatulence as competition.
And there you go, a problem solved.
I wonder whose patent is involved?
My big fat hound dog is probably on the list for disposal too. (Mr Ditter is in danger, I feel sure) :[
Cattle-ytic converters
This means bears can’t sh*t in the woods anymore........
