Wash Post ^ | 3-28-2014 | Adam Taylor

On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Barack Obama spoke on the phone. Given recent tensions over Ukraine and Crimea, dialogue seems like a good thing. However, were the two presidents really talking to each other? After reading the two official statements about the call, it sounds like they got some wires crossed or something.

Sad day for America when they make the Russians out to be the truth-tellers.

My thoughts exactly. The joke used to be about how much the Russians would lie to bolster their image. Now our president tops that.

What a surprise. /sarc Where any resemblance of reality never meets Obama’s realities or fantasies.

This smells very similar to the meeting between the Pope and nobama.

Disgusting.

Funny but I’ve always pictured Putin putting the Boy King on speaker while he plays a game of chess ... periodically saying either Da or Nyet!

Gee, whom to believe?

The President of Russia or my own President?

Obama may now, sometimes, wish he had told the truth occasionally in the past. He has less credibility with the American people than Putin.

The British version of the phone conversation: “The Kremlin said in a statement that the Russian president drew Mr Obama’s attention to “the continued rampage of extremists” in Kiev and various regions of Ukraine.

It said these individuals were “committing acts of intimidation towards peaceful residents, government authorities and law enforcement agencies... with impunity”.

Mr Putin suggested examining possible steps the global community could take to help stabilise the situation, the Kremlin statement said.

He also expressed concern at an “effective blockade” of Moldova’s separatist region of Trans-Dniester, where Russia has troops.”

Serbian historian Nebojsa Malic said.... “There was never such a referendum. (in Kosovo). It never took place. It did not exist."

Obama is a liar, So why should any be "baffled" when he does so to make his case against Putin. He sure hasn't corrected past lies with the truth....he won't this either.

The problem everyone has is discovering who is telling it like it is.......and neither Putin nor Obama will do so. Neither will the news sources who all report according to the bias of the networks etc.

This is EU's Problem and interesting that few are calling them to account for their actions, nor the US for theirs in Ukraine.

Putin could conclude by nuking the US out of existence without any consummate retaliatory strike when dealing with this DUmmie.

Just like the Pope/obama meeting, two different versions, one version from a known liar.

(and it ain't the Pope)
