The outgoing director of the National Security Agency wants former President Jimmy Carter to know: It's safe to use email.
Gen. Keith Alexander, in an exclusive interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, addressed concerns raised by the former president, who on Sunday said he uses snail mail to communicate with foreign leaders for fear his emails are being monitored.
"We're not [monitoring the emails]," Alexander said. "So he can now go back to writing emails. The reality is, we don't do that. And if we did, it would be illegal and we'd be ... held accountable and responsible."

Why in God’s name would ANYONE have the slightest interest in seeing what Jimmy Carter is writing? I can’t think of a more uninteresting person on this planet. He is also completely irrelevant to anything happening currently in the country.

They’re not really spying on his email for evil purposes. They’re just posting them in the NSA lunchroom for laughs.
In this instance, I want to believe them, just to give Jimmy Carter another public diss. However, when Jimmy pushes himself into being some self styled, unauthorized, unrequested “Election Monitor” in South American, it would not surprise me if they did cast a lazy gaze in his direction. Carter may indeed me monitored, if for no other reason, to make sure his busybody antics don’t create problems for the U.S. that would provoke the South Americans and their Communists friends into bringing violence home delivered to the U.S of A. In other words, he needs a Minder or babysitter.
Bend over and trust them Jimmuh!
I believe the NSA on this. No one listened to President Jimmy Carter near the end of his failed Presidency, why would they start now.
