“...I never heard of Tequila that cheap...”

Not since I came across a liquor store that was going out of business
and having a half-price sale in Acapulco thirty years ago.

No problem, I found a carton stashed in my Jeep’s BOB. Thanks; I’m good to go.

Which dumb beotch Supreme said you could deny blood over religious reasons?
Last time I looked blood isn’t available over the counter at the pharmacy.

That was what got me started.
Smoked ‘em for many many years.
Started out sneaking ‘em from my mom and dad.

When I worked for the vineyard, I could buy a case of wine that cost $15 per bottle, for $1 each. The upcharge as it gets handled from producer to shipper, to warehouse to the ABC, has got to be huge.

Hobby Lobby’s going to lose it, 5-4.
Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, Kagan and Kennedy vs Roberts, Thomas, Alito and Scalia.

The corner store is run by my buddy “Raj”, an old man from Pakistan.
He hates democrats almost as much as I do.

Sí , it was the wise Latina.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor questioned whether a ruling in favor of the companies would establish a pathway for other pro-profit entities to ask for a slew of other exemptions on religious grounds for such medical procedures as blood transfusions and vaccinations.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;
or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
-
What is a “religion”, anyway?
Isn’t it just your own personal belief?
I mean,
do you have to belong to some official federally recognized religion
to have a right to religious freedom?
Is there a list of those officially recognized religions somewhere?
Can I have my own “personal” religion?

I started with unfiltered Canadian Export A and Pall Mall, at Boy Scout Summer Camps, in the late 50s. A puff here and one there. Didn't really start until college in the mid-60s. Dad had Philip Morris w/ charcoal filter at home, but at 13 I could slick my hair back and buy cigs (26¢/pack at Walgreen's in early 60s) and beer/booze at local liquor stores (I was very popular at all HS levels for that ability). Heh.

My dad used to work part time at night at a liquor store.
He had heart issues and retired from his main job.
Shortly after that, the liquor store owner died
and dad bought the store from his estate.
I had just turned 21 and went to work for him
in the evenings and on the weekends.
I was very popular at the local college.
