A new study by the Non-Governmental International Panel on Climate Change shows that the benefits of a warming earth will outweigh any costs incurred.
The new report summarizes scholarly research published as recently as January 2014 on the impacts, costs, and benefits of climate change. Hefty chapters summarize thousands of peer-reviewed studies of the impact of rising levels of carbon dioxide – a greenhouse gas produced during the burning of fossil fuels – on plants and soils, agriculture, forests, wildlife, ocean life, and humankind.
The authors find higher levels of carbon dioxide and warmer temperatures benefit nearly all plants, leading to more leaves, more fruit, more vigorous growth, and greater resistance to pests, drought, and other forms of “stress.” Wildlife benefits as their habitats grow and expand. Even polar bears, the poster child of anti-global warming activist groups such as the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), are benefiting from warmer temperatures.
“Despite thousands of scientific articles affirming numerous benefits of rising temperatures and atmospheric CO2, IPCC makes almost no mention of any positive externalities resulting from such,” said one of the report’s lead authors, Dr. Craig D. Idso. “Climate Change Reconsidered II corrects this failure, presenting an analysis of thousands of neglected research studies IPCC has downplayed or ignored in its reports so that scientists, politicians, educators, and the general public can be better informed and make decisions about the potential impacts of CO2-induced climate change.”
The authors look closely at claims climate change will injure coral and other forms of marine life, possibly leading to some species extinctions. They conclude such claims lack scientific foundation and often are grossly exaggerated. Corals have survived warming periods in the past that caused ocean temperatures and sea levels to be much higher

I’d deign to read anything on AGW if any one of the proponents of this “settled science” can tell me just exactly what the hell is the ‘optimum’ temperature for the planet. Tell me - set in stone and make a stand and explain why. If not, then shut the f@ck up ALGORE.

With my Winter temps. running ~20 deg. F below “normal”, I’m all in favor of Warming.
All they had to do was look at history:
Roman Warm Period: Pax Romana
End of same: Fall of Western Empire, Dark Ages
Medieval Warm Period: High Middle Ages
End of same: Black Death

But, even if it were true, like that article points out, it would be a GOOD thing!

Don’t forget the greatest benefit of global warming is Al Gores bank account which I read now exceeds $400 million. Pretty good for a guy who hasn’t held a job since 2001.

Your first statement is false. Global warming is a real thing. Just so happened to have ended around y2k.
What the hoax is, is anthropogenic global warming (AGW).
We all need to be clear in an argument.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
As soon as the REAL scientists turned their attention to the subject... suddenly... the warming unexpectedly stopped.
I find that fishy to say the least.
If you had ever visited the environmental department of a college you would know that the people in those programs are not scientists, they are political activists. And I trust any data gathered by them and/or any model they create to tell the truth about as much as they would trust climate data and models put out by scientists hired by Exxon Mobile.
If and when they move on, I wonder what hoax they will think of next?

I see, a NASA study. Well, civilization may collapse, but I think liberalism/socialism/communism will cause it.

Incredible isn’t it, and the same kind of garbage is going on with the Obamacare scam as well..Wouldn’t that be something if I had a business that sold something and the government mandated that the public buy my product or be fined? Gee no corruption going on there. And what gets me is they can still deny people care. Oh sure people will have insurance, but it doesn’t mean they will get the healthcare they need - “I’m sorry, but that life saving heart operation is denied”. It’s just an absolute scam up and down the line.
As I look out the window I see snow. This is Virginia at the end of March.
