Ha-ha. Who wants to hear/read what that fool has to say? He already said that Obama doesn’t call him for advice and the rest of us stopped caring in 1977.

I was hoping the last time we’d hear from this guy was when the Bee Gees failed to make the hit parade. Evidently I was wrong.

In the days when you could pull the ribbon and read every word?
Then he put it in the "special" mail box. Then a spy got it, read it, resealed it and off it went. No problem Jimbo.

I dislike Jimmy Carter as much as anyone else here.
However, all joking aside, isn’t this news, that a former president believes that his e-mail and other communications are being monitored??
Clear follow up questions, such as who is monitoring him, and for what purpose, and what does he know about our government doing such things from his time in office, would be enlightening I’m sure.
To: Jim Robinson
There is no way they would care what he is saying. Almost no one did, when he was in office, let alone 35 years later.

I remember seeing Carter describing a meeting with Reagan in the Oval Office after the election in 1980.
“He asked no questions; he took no notes,” Carter said, describing how he gave Reagan a survey of the “issues” and foreign policy problems.
It was so obvious that Carter was trying to stick the knife in and twist it—trying to portray Reagan as stupid and disengaged. What came through, of course, was that Reagan thought Carter was, as he once called him, “that little s-—,” whose meanderings were not worth jotting down.

Not only does the USPS digitally photograph the front and back of each letter, it most probably has some DHS/NSA permission to open and record the contents of any letters it pleases, as well.
Back to the era of horseback mail packets, personal messengers and sealing wax. That’s when the phrase “behead the messenger” came about, if foul play was suspected.

It's a good thing the NSA can't read words on paper inside an envelope!
