PRINCETON — A Mercer County woman, who was arrested and charged with first-degree murder after a heated exchange of text messages led to a fatal shooting, was sentenced Monday to more than seven years in prison with credit for time served.

Judith Helen Kowaleski-Slagle, 43, of Bluefield, pleaded guilty earlier this year to a lesser offense of voluntary manslaughter.
What a mess.

That was a weird case. The “victim” tried to taser the lady, so she killed her. I’m not certain which state this occurred in, but in my state, she probably would not have been even charged, much less convicted.

Ben, The article states:
She later approached Kowaleski-Slagle with a taser and tried to touch her with it. Kowaleski-Slagle fired a .38 caliber revolver, hitting Slagle in the chest.
So the woman killed was trying to taze the woman convicted. I'd say she was over charged. The headline is totally misleading
