Opposing Voter ID Laws in the Name of Race Is Insulting to Minorities
Creators Syndicate ^ | March 21, 2014 | David Limbaugh

This is a headline we should never see in the United States: "Federal Judge: Yes, Arizona and Kansas Can Require Voters To Prove Their Citizenship."

The fact that this issue would be disputed at all is astonishing. That it is legally contested is stunning. That the prime mover in initiating the legal challenge is our own federal government, which has a compelling interest in ensuring the integrity of the election process, is mind-blowing.

Who would have imagined just a few short years ago that in 2014 the executive branch of the federal government and a good chunk of its legislative branch would be dominated by radical community organizers wreaking havoc on the rule of law and our cherished principles of equal protection under the law and the impartial administration of justice? I feel like I'm living inside some Red-conspiracy fiction novel that could never get published because it's too unlikely to survive the incredulity even of readers with a generous willingness to suspend disbelief.

Both Kansas and Arizona passed new voter-ID legislation requiring new voters to provide a birth certificate, a passport or other documentation to prove their citizenship. But the U.S. Election Assistance Commission rejected requests from these two states for help in changing federal election registration forms. The existing federal registration form doesn't require proof of citizenship, only that new voters sign a statement declaring their citizenship.

How do you think the Internal Revenue Service would respond if we all said it would have to take our word for our income and expenses based on our "declarations" and we were not going to furnish 1099s, W2s or expense receipts?

What would the NSA say if all airline passengers simply refused to show their driver's licenses at airport security checkpoints?

Yeah, but we know it has nothing to do about that. This is just a continuation of the game of ‘how can the Democrats continue to inflict voter fraud on the United States election process?’ By whatever means, and the government allows them to do so. Even the ‘W’ administration turned a blind eye to these treasonous acts (systematic voter fraud is treason). I presume our Military ballots continue to get ‘lost’, or ‘disallowed’. Another feature of the same ‘game’.

Get used to it, David -- it's real, and that is exactly what it is.

Of course, Limbaugh could be putting it this way, precisely to get the idea across in a way that liberals and "Progs" (neo-Stalinists) cannot easily controvert.

"Oooooh, what he said!!!"

The corruption of the current administration is unsurpassed in my view.

The president is in bed with crooked labor union leaders.

The AG picks and chooses the laws he and 0bama enforce and Holder loads his department with leftist activists.

Democrats in Congress support the illegal activities of the executive branch blatantly...Everything is about democRats winning the next election.

They will eventually square away the problems with military ballots, by the time the military is 15% white male.

Just reading the headline ... opposing voter ID laws period is insulting to common sense!

Yeesh!!

And while they're at it, there ought to be a condition to vote: if you're an able-bodied American who pays your way for the basics independent of government welfare, you have a vote. If you're an able-bodied American who depends on government hand-outs to help pay your rent and buy your food, your voting franchise is put on hold until you become self-sufficient. It's only fair to your fellow citizens who are footing the bill with their tax dollars.

Actually it is not funny -- but you are right.

That’s right; our minorities have such a low opinion of themselves and their potential. They willingly let the government assure them that they can’t compete with superior Anglos and Asians, and they accept it (while laughing all the way to the bank).

I was just at the bank yesterday, and a huge sign on the drive-up window stated that the cashier would not process any transactions without a photo i.d.

Of course, the left would say that minorities are too poor to use banks, but the point is that banks can require identification and that isn’t racist.

Wrong. This administration has a compelling interest in perverting the voting process in order to gain and retain power. This is only partly because they insist on governing against the will of the people.

It blows me away that most anything we do now a photo ID is required but the 0bama/Holder cabal insist it’s discrimination to have to show one for voting and they actually say this with a straight face.

Since the US will never again be involved in conventional wars along the lines of WWII, since Vietnam there has been a concerted into a smaller armed Red Cross with no real purpose. The people I know who enlisted in the past few years have only done so for financial reasons; it is a job, possible money for school, and nothing else to them (these are products of the public education debacle of the last few decades; civics and US history weren’t really taught to them, and they feel no patriotism whatsoever). While the military is being feminized and politicized as it is now, I have no problem with dissolving it altogether; while some argue that there are potential threats around the world (and there are), the military (and the country) won’t address them anyway. Just save us the money in the meantime; there was no reason to keep it so large once we were openly trading with Red China and the Hanoi government in Vietnam...

This is just a continuation of the game of ‘how can the Democrats continue to inflict voter fraud on the United States election process?’

There's a REALLY IMPORTANT corollary to that: the majority reject the Democrats. The majority resent leftism. Far from being "children who elected Santa Claus," Americans are mostly angry, cheated folks who agree that government has grown too big and far too leftist. Most Americans voted "against" this crap.

The only NON-government-created skidmark in this whole mess is the left-leaning MSM. The people in it, through no interference of government, are about 90 percent leftist, whereas real Americans out here in the real world are only about 35 percent leftist. Between the results of fraudulent elections and the MSM's wildly disproportionate dominance of left-leaning faces, the psyche of the majority of Americans has been convinced to see itself the same as the 60-lb dog that doesn't comprehend that he outweighs the little 20-lb yapper "boss" dog two to one and could cream him at will if he wanted, but doesn't because the little dog is the "boss."

But there are a lot more of us than there are of them. That's why they have to cheat. There are more of us.

Believing in your fellow Americans is a must.

The article in the Arizona Republic stated that this case was litigated in Kansas (instead of Arizona) so as to avoid the 9th Circus.

Good decision on that!
