Palin Endorsement Helps T.W.Shannon Close Deficit In OK Senate Primary
Breitbart ^ | March 19th, 2014 | Tony Lee

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's endorsement last week has helped conservative Oklahoma Senate candidate T.W. Shannon shave 26 points from his deficit to close within nine points of Rep. James Lankford. This was revealed in a newly released Public Opinion Strategy poll of Oklahoma GOP primary voters that was conducted four days after her endorsement. In a February poll of likely GOP primary voters in Oklahoma, Shannon trailed Lankford by 35 points (16%-51%). A month later, Shannon trails Lankford by nine points (28%-37%), knocking 26 points from Lankford's lead. The survey, which was commissioned by Oklahomans for a Conservative Future, which supports Shannon, also found that 7% support Randy Brogdon. Shannon is also surging among voters who have a favorable view of the Tea Party.

The poll found that Palin, who has the highest favorability rating among GOP presidential primary voters, also does extremely well with Oklahoma Republicans with a "75% favorable/14% unfavorable image with Oklahoma GOP primary voters." That is why former South Carolina Senator and Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint said that Palin's endorsement has the most impact in GOP primaries.

On top of that, Shannon, arguably the most conservative House Speaker in Oklahoma's history, has been introducing himself with positive ads and direct mail. As a result, Shannon’s name ID has gone from 59% to 74% and his favorables from 30% to 48%. His unfavorables are only at 5%.

"After starting the campaign as the equivalent of an NCAA Cinderella-wannabe, T.W. Shannon has become the momentum it takes to beat the number one seed, represented by James Lankford," Public Opinion Strategies concluded in its analysis. The survey was conducted March 16-17 and has a margin of error of +/- 4.38 percentage points

From 26 points down to 9 points down, overnight, after the endorsement. Could be another Cruz scenario!

I wish she would go after Mitch McConnel

That would certainly send a message (a lot of them, actually)

Oh, you know they are Soooooo pissed that she can affect elections.

Ted Cruz’s election alone pisses them off. Gun control was stymied, Obamacare was brought front and center and republicans had to vote to increase the debt ceiling.

Imagine a senate will lots more Palin-endorsed senators. Mitch McConnell’s life (if he’s still there!) will be all the more miserable!

And that’s in a span of what, a few days, imagine what will happen in the next few weeks Shannon could be leading!

This is yet more GOOD NEWS. This, along with the very unexpected news from Pennsylvania this morning (see below link), gives me more and more hope that 2014 will be a VERY good year for the Tea Party. GOPe, you’d better get on-board or you will be left behind.

Good News on HUGE Tea Party victory over the massed resources of the GOPe:

I think she still has time to be seen with Bevin before the primary?

Yep that was just a simple endorsement.

Imagine what happens if she COMES to Oklahoma to campaign with him.

This is Palin’s true strength and future.
Not running for President, but replacing Rove as the king maker.

And it would say something to me if she chooses to stay out of the fight in Kentucky and not support Matt Bevin against McConnell.

One other thing I note is that Sarah Palin endorsed Ben Sasse in Nebraska while Levin and Beck have expressed support for another candidate, Shane Osborn.

I’m not really worried about Nebraska. I truly like both of those candidates.

I’m worried that KY and MS are not yet going in a favorable direction. Rand Paul’s endorsement of McConnell is just mind-boggling, but it happened, nonetheless. That will make KY tough, Palin or not.

SC should be somewhere we make progress, but getting a well-funded candidate who can win the Primary keeps proving tough.

I guess you know NOTHING of her successful governing terms as Mayor and Governor.

Nothing.

Please find out what a superb manager and executive she is.

Also find out what a unique campaigner she is, having run all of her own unique campaigns ... except for the 2008 VP campaign.

Thanks much.

No, I don’t know if SHE wants to be in public executive office or not.

But if she wants it, “her true strength and future” may very well be as President and Commander in Chief, and not as king maker only.

HINT: She’s a multitasker and could do both at the same time. It’s called coattails. Or skirttails, if you prefer.

Yes, Palin thinks for herself. And does her own vetting. Osborne’s attacks on Sasse say more about Osborne than Sasse.

Have you vetted Bevin? He’s bad news.

Bevin is a BFF of far left Chris Dodd Mini-Me, Dick Blumenthal, among other dead weight.

Spend your time in winnable races to get the Senate. Then defeat McConnell as Majority Leader with someone like Jeff Sessions.
