Ping to above links, looking for distances.... not able to post pix at this time....
The passengers, however, are all dead.
The trip to 45,000 feet was done to accomplish that (after depressurization of the cabin) - there is no other reason to climb to such an altitude and it explains why there has not been a single phone call since - even though the aircraft flew for 7 hours after its last contact.
Wherever it is, it is under a camouflaged tarp or series of tarps and is being repainted in the colors of either Air France, Singapore Airlines or some other airliner that flies multiple 777s from Asia to Europe and Israel.
Time is now on their side as Airplanes do not rot in the desert, but they can wait until everyone has forgotten about this aircraft and then set out on their mission of mass destruction.
One more rogue pilot in a fighter jet and they can shoot down another 777 on its way to Europe or America and take its place. Then they can fly their 777 packed with explosives (or a Paki nuke, chemical weapons?, dirty bomb?) into any city they choose.
Until they find this thing, nobody should be off their guard.
No, not a piece of cake. And preferable to do with a number of hijackers, rather than one. But doable? Sure - here's how:
1) Cut or break the top half off of a meals cart.
2) Roll each body onto the cart, roll it to a door and dump it off. make a pile of bodies at each door.
3) Slow down the plane to just above stall.
4) Rope up, open the doors one at a time, and kick out the piled up bodies with your feet.
uhh... yeah. Right. Lets just file that under “highly unlikely”
As opposed, you mean, to how likely it is for a 777 to entirely vanish off the face of the Earth, and apparently stump even the most experienced pilots and aviation experts for an explanation?
Actually, I think my solution is pretty logical, if such a job had to be done. Admit it - you didn't think of using the meal carts to roll the bodies!
Gotta wonder if they shut down the tower at night. With an early AM landing — and the Maldives would be going away from the sun for 370-— then maybe if there was not official collusion then this was a definitely well schemed out plan with hard core Islamists there on the scene to man the fuel trucks.
Also, will need armed guards to keep any passengers from escaping-— if any were still alive-— and to keep any honest locals from interfering.
“I said last week:
Radar Shows Plane Deliberately Flew Toward Indian Ocean: Reports
Mat_Helm to SatinDoll
“Probably landed in the Maldive’s at Male Island (10,000ft runway)refueled and on to Iran. Did the copilot wait for the captain to leave the cockpit and let his Iranian buddies in, lock the door and put on oxygen, depressurize the cabin to kill the passengers and crew at altitude? Boeing 777 converted to a nuclear bomber soon on its way to Tel Aviv or New York.” “
I think you are genius. The scenario of the captain leaving and the Iranians locking him out of the cockpit makes more sense that any other speculation I’ve heard.
There is also the satellite photo of a low-flying, twin engine large jet flying near the south end of the Adamines (sp?) Islands. Not sure , but that might be along a similar trend line.
.
Woke with a thought :
If the engines were making as much noise as described they were still working and had not run out of gas yet
Any airport straight ahead?
Comment:
BTW, the hardcore Islamists recently destroyed ALL of the ancient Hindu and Buddhist cultural remains in the Maldives.
