Ukraine owes it all to the Russian gas company. Will they pay it?

You raise an interesting question.

Under the terms of the agreement Russia made with the old government, special Ukrainian bonds would be issued and purchased by Russia to fund the pay back of both Gazprom and existing IMF debt.

That all goes away now, leaving the Ukraine deeper in debt than before and ripe for EU/IMF 'austerity' measures.

The average Ukrainian is going to be screwed royally, as will the ordinary American taxpayer if the IMF 'reforms' Obama & McCain are pushing get passed.
