Democrats hate the Koch Brothers.
They believe the Koch Brothers are the root of all evil because they donate to Republicans and conservative causes.
This week Senate Democrats once again asked the IRS to crack down on conservative groups including Americans for Prosperity, funded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch.
Democrats want to silence the opposition.
So how big of a threat are the Koch Brothers?
Over the past twenty five years, from 1989 to 2014, Koch Industries has donated $18,083,948 in political contributions to Republicans. While that seems like a large sum, it only ranks them as number 59 on the list of top all-time political donors behind 18 different unions.
Here is the list of unions that top the Koch Brothers in political donations.

The important difference between the Koch brothers and the unions goes far beyond the amount of the donations. The Koch brothers are donating money they earned through legitimate business transactions. The unions, on the other hand, are donating money they confiscated from their members in the form of mandatory dues. Think, if the teachers union can afford to donate $36 million dollars to the Democrats, then the dues teachers are forced to pay are entirely too high.
There are two Koch brothers, so that’s $9 million each, whereas the Dems. climate change cultist, Steyer, is contributing $100 million in this election cycle alone. The unions gave Democrats $610 million so far. So who is “buying the election,” Dingy Harry? What a lying sack.

I wonder if the Koch’s flipped a million to Harry Reid, would it shut his mouth?
In today’s world where expensive media buys are needed for a candidate to get out a message, money is essential to running an effective political campaign. Dry up the money and the opposition is effectively neutered.
The purpose of the campaign against the Koch brothers has two purposes:
1) Punish them for funding the opposition
2) Warn other wealthy people they will be targeted and hounded unmercifully in the media, as well as by government agencies, if they dare to oppose the power structure.
Most media outlets have become captives of the left’s propaganda machine. Now the sources of money supporting conservative causes are being attacked. Once the money dries up we will have one party rule and it will be easy for the government to silence individual voices of dissent on the internet.
After all, most the American people don’t seem to care about an ambassador being killed in Benghazi or the IRS targeting people and organizations who disagree with the government. Would the population get upset if 20 people per month posting on this website suddenly disappeared? How would they even know?
This seemed interesting but I am afraid it is misleading. The data period is 25 years! The Koch brothers have, most likely, not been active for that entire time so it is comparing apples to oranges. This is the kind of stuff the left does and it outrages me. Let’s not go down that path.

Boston’s WGBH-TV has David Koch on their board. Moonbat “climate change” embracers are opposed to this, feeling he is a global warming/climate change denier (among other things) even though he has also donated a lot of money to the major public TV outlet.
>>This clear example of how Kochs oversight can lead to journalistic self-censorship shows that he does not belong on the WGBH board. Sign the petition and keep up the fight to hold the Koch Brothers accountable: “Remove David Koch from WGBHs board of trustees and ensure that public broadcasting remains independent from the influence of radical climate change denial and right-wing attacks on education.”

Koch brothers bump for freedom
There are about 30 major league baseball teams. The Koch Brothers’ ranking puts them at maybe Triple-A level in the political donations league. So, why are the liberals and the media (but I repeat myself) so concerned about the equivalent of the Toledo Mudhens?
Political donations behind 18 different unions and all they got was Obamacare how sweet it is.
What I don’t see on that list is Soros.
He at least claimed to spend half a billion a year on political action, but seemingly without leaving a fingerprint. I realize his donations are through an alphabet soup of organizations, many of whom are simply cutouts. I’d be interested to see the real numbers with respect to him.
A quick analysis of these major organizational donors shows that 60% of the $3 billion or $1.8 billion donated by the 156 entities listed go to Democrats. If true then there is a big hole that needs to be filled by other donor sources.
